We used Scootaround for a transport chair on our recent TA cruise Miami-Barcelona. I had used Special Needs at Sea for two previous cruises; Scootaround’s pricing was much better this time around. They deliver right to your cabin on the ship, and there was no additional charge for different start and end points. Hope this helps. Happy sailing!

IMO, if you loved Explorer, you will LOVE Splendor! We were on Explorer in 2017 and Splendor on the TA cruise this past April. We really liked the tweaks that were made, especially the bigger library. The only things we missed were the spectacular ceiling in Compass Rose, and the gallery by the staircase on level 4 (Splendor’s decor is more subtle). Both are elegant, comfortable vessels. Glad you enjoyed your trip!

We were on Splendor for the TA cruise in April. My observations are right in line with yours: beautiful, elegant ship, great service all around, good food, talented but unengaging cruise director and staff, ho-hum entertainment. We especially felt the lack of interesting talks and creative activities to fill the stretch of sea days. Pacific Rim was our least favorite too. It’s such an attractive venue, but the food we had on two occasions wasn’t well executed and we left disappointed each time. I’d skip it all together next time. Overall, we had a very nice, relaxing two weeks, sounds like you did too. But…we both surprisingly tested positive for Covid on disembarkation day and had to spend an unplanned week in isolation in Madrid. I’ve since learned via these boards that we weren’t the only ones. Guess it comes with the territory these days. Happy sailing!

Interesting. We were in 820 and didn’t feel a thing. We did, however, notice a lot of vibration in other various parts of the ship. Not constant, but definitely noticeable when it was happening. This surprised us, especially after having been on Explorer a few years ago, when we never felt any vibration anywhere.
