  1. You can't because you won't have your set sail pass until after check-in.
  2. Not that anyone cares, but after switching twice, we are now 4 cabins away from the cabin we had on Indy in July and we loved the location. I'm done checking and we decided to cancel the RoyalUp. 5 days and counting... Even though I'm not that picky, I really appreciate the option to move cabins within your category for free.
  3. It was on Harmony in May/June. Check the app. Switch to the current sailing if you have to.
  4. $14 now that the standard price of drinks has gone from $13 to $14.
  5. FWIW, the DL hasn’t been very crowded at all in my experience now that happy hour doesn’t include free drinks. Clearly others may have had other experiences. Besides my daily morning cappuccino run, I only pop in at night to check out the snacks (which vary from good to awful) & perhaps chill for a short term if it’s on a ship where it’s in the crown. Not much interest in the basement location on most Oasis class ship.
  6. Yeah, it’s a mess. Bring back the days, we can deal with the typos like “FreeDOOM of the Seas.”
  7. Remember, once officially assigned, you can switch to any cabin in the same exact category for free provided any are available. I just switched one myself yesterday for a cruise on Monday.
  8. Method 1. If you have an Apple device, add your set sail pass to your Apple wallet. Numbers will now appear under your bar code. The numbers after the dash represent your cabin. Method 2. Scan the bar code with a QR scanner from another device and that should also show you the numbers. NOTE: If you see "GTY" instead of numbers, you truly haven't been assigned yet. One tip off is that if you don't see a muster station on your set sail pass then you almost definitely don't have an assignment yet.
  9. We cruise on the cheap but Giovanni's is the one specialty restaurant we book when it's available. Wife and I always get the filet and have never had a bad one. I'm not even a huge filet fan as I prefer some fat on my steak, like a ribeye, but theirs is delicious.
  10. I would look at the MDR menus in the app close to your cruise (if that's where you're eating if not in a specialty restaurant) and decide based on what looks appealing or not and do specialty on the less appealing nights.
  11. Just checked the app b/c I'm bored and you made me hungry. I see why I felt that way. Mariner has themes I would enjoy like Tex-Mex, China, India, etc. Indy had the other ones in July on my B2B... American, Caribbean, Italian, and Mediterranean. They've since replaced Mediterranean with British for the current 4-nighters. No big deal; there was Indian everyday for both lunch and dinner and we're actually only planning to do WJ as our main dinner once next week since it's just the 4 nights. I'll still pop in either before or after we eat elsewhere; never know when you'll find a unique item or two that's appealing.
  12. https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal/Multi_Dest/Special_Offers/rci_sales_event_USD.pdf It wasn't updated yesterday like it usually is. Should be updated today.
  13. The evidence is pretty compelling that your estimate was way off. 🤣
  14. Clearly the list is way too short! Time to add an emergency addendum! Switching topics, from various trip reports, the WJ on Mariner seems to have stuff I didn't see on Indy that I wish I had. Maybe it will be a bit different next week. I know at least one dinner theme has changed; there was no British night in July but there is now.
  15. Just moved my GTY for a cruise 7 days out. Keep checking if you don’t see one you like. There was almost nothing available in my category for the past week since I got my official assignment, let alone something I liked, then one popped up today.
  16. Then that's what you should bid... whatever it's worth it to you. Just make sure you're bidding less than it would cost to just pay to upgrade. As an example, we can upgrade (not RoyalUp, just pay) from an interior to a balcony for $100 total for 2 of us on our 4-night Indy cruise on Monday. On paper, it's a no-brainer, but we don't actually use our balcony hardly at all when we have one so we're debating. Everyone has their own values and preferences.
  17. The CD doesn't matter a ton to us but Marc is a great guy. He happens to live very close to me and my wife has a connection to his kids. We actually saw them onboard one of his cruises pre-pandemic. *BING BONG*
  18. The app has the standard list for the fleet but the bars can make pretty much anything you want; they're full bars.
  19. That weight gain is in line with mine for a 7-night cruise. Go Phils! (Born & raised in the Philly burbs before moving here after college.)
  20. No, not South Beach. A part of the island off limits to cruisers, like the dorms. Our OTW cabana attendant told us about it in May.
  21. It's too early to forecast the afternoon earlier that morning in Florida or the Bahamas. 🤣
