  1. 1. Not everyone’s schedule allows them to cut out June-November. That’s half the year. 2. There’s a low chance your cruise will be affected by a hurricane.
  2. Wow, a rule variation that favors the players? Shocking.
  3. Bad enough that I don't really even bother checking anymore. Don't quote me but I want to say it's all H17, no surrender, and only certain tables are 3:2 while others are 6:5. I'd also guess it's all 8-deck or automatic shufflers. Hopefully someone will give you a more confident answer.
  4. It's an ongoing issue with some sailings. I haven't been able to access my set sail pass at all since checking in 45 days out from my 10/24 Indy sailing. 30 days out today, received my documents, got my luggage tags, but still no set sail pass. This applies to app and website.
  5. Agree to disagree, nothing wrong with that. Just to elaborate, without the ship, date, capacity of cabins already sold, original price and type of cabin, and a whole slew of variables, I don't find the info predictive of future results.
  6. Ian, the one currently tracking right towards central Florida.
  7. Oh I know. Don't mind me. Just trying to keep busy while stressing about this stupid hurricane. Enjoy your sea day!
  8. ' If you're open to not being on a beach (which is obviously a draw to many), hurricanes really don't affect interior central Florida that much. You might lose some shingles or have superficial wind damage like gutters, trees can go down (we only have palms which won't go anywhere even in a hurricane), could lose power but usually not for that long (and that's what generators are for if you're so inclined), but the chances of any severe damage like losing a roof are extremely low. If we didn't have the water issue I mentioned above, I wouldn't be very concerned at all right now... and this is coming from someone with anxiety issues. Not trying to convince you, just making conversation. Florida is ummm... an interesting place, lol (I grew up in the Philly burbs and moved here after college in 2000).
  9. 100% correct... but usually a prepare for the worst, hope for the best situation. Been here for 22 years, seen tracks change both in my favor and against.
  10. Still can't access my set sail pass for my GTY on Indy 10/24 but it's 30 days out today and I received my cruise docs via e-mail right on schedule. The luggage tags are blank but I can see the highlighted section (where your cabin is) and the main info page has my deck #. It's not terrible (decks 2-3 are really the only place I would truly not want to be), but not my first choice as I prefer aft and we appear to be forward. Happy to at least have some bit of info even if it's not my 1st choice location. I have a RoyalUp bid in and will look to move once the cabin is officially assigned.
  11. I'm not a cruise ship logistics expert and I didn't sleep at a Holiday Inn last night. 🤷‍♂️ (I know you were asking in general and just happened to quote me.)
  12. That sucks but totally understandable. I have no exciting plans in the next week but will still be rooting for a track change of course. This far inland there's never been much damage from past hurricanes (been here since 2000) but our house has existing water intrusion issues from poor construction so the heavy wind driven rain is problematic. Hoping for the best for anyone potentially affected.
  13. Someone onboard mentioned they would be refueling in FLL.
  14. Impossible question to answer. Too many variables & no one actually has the algorithm. Bid an amount you are comfortable paying. Past results are just anecdotal stories.
  15. My 7 & 12-year-old nieces became quite addicted to virgin daiquiris on our family cruise a few months ago, lol. It was fun to be able to take the 12-year-old “to the bar” without actually corrupting her. One other drink kids might want to use vouchers on is the smoothies in Vitality Cafe.
  16. That's the only thing my wife drinks so when there's a sale I stock up. We usually have at least 10 cases on hand regardless of weather, lol. I went to Publix earlier (routine trip) and just about every cart I saw had water in it.
  17. I won't go into my hurricane life story. Short version... Being so landlocked here near Disney, the hurricanes really aren't a huge deal, but our house has water intrusion issues due to poor construction and we haven't been able to solve the problem after 20 years. (There was a class action suit the builder settled after the multiple 2004 hurricanes but I would have gladly traded the payment for a waterproof house). I might need more than my D voucher drinks on our 10/24 Indy cruise!
  18. The track as of this morning has it coming straight through FL now. Can and will likely change in the next few days as we know but not pretty for central FL right now.
  19. Check-in section of the app doesn't load for me (not that I need to check-in). I get an error message.
  20. Asking them when it will be fixed is an exercise in futility (IMO). I would put zero faith in any answer you get. Eventually it will be back up, just have to wait unfortunately.
