And for families to get to Disney for a day trip!

I say useless, because Anthem 7nter gets there at 12pm By the time you get off the ship and travel to Disney, you'll probably get 5hr at a park. A Lot of $ to spent, for the amount of time.  8 nter  different story. Could do a day trip there. So if the O.P. is looking to do  a Disney outing, you  need to do the 8nter in my opinion.

Yes.  I have been able to transfer my booking to my TA past 60 days.  It usually takes them an extra step to get it moved over but she has always been successful.  I would guess that I have done this 5 times over the years.

Agree that after final payment it cannot be transferred.

Thank you for the info. It's still way before final payment, but after the 60 day mark.

Then get over your fear or cancel.

LOL. Maybe unvaxxed individuals  shouldn't  be on cruises . I don't know about you ,but I don't want anyone F-ing up my vacation time. Maybe if your retired and have all the time in the world, then  who cares. But unvaxxed individuals will be screwing up my freedoms on a cruise ship. Not cool.

A lot stupid is in this thread which I think is created from the all of fear that has been instilled in people this past year.

The fear is of unvaxed passenger ruining my vacation if they get sick.. That's it.  I could care less what you, or anyone else does. I had covid and got vaxxed.  The fear is not about my health.

Have you seen this in a release anywhere? I have not been able to find a definitive stance stating this by RCCL. I have 2 ports within driving distance and would feel much better about cruising if this is the case

As soon as school starts in the northeast, RCI will start sailing again from the northeast ports(Less kids onboard).  I think RCI is hoping for the  vaccine to be available to kids 5 and up soon. And will then require vaccines  for all the  ports except FL and Texas.

Several people were saying those who don’t want a vaccine don’t have to cruise and can wait. It’s funny seeing the sides now reversed. Sadly, still no empathy. Wish would could just respect each other’s decisions, understand life always carries some risk, and move on.

-Vaxed but believe it should remain an unrestricted choice.

I totally agree. You don't want to get vaxed, that's on you. I could care less. The problem comes about if unvaxed passenger get sick, that ship is turning back around.

All depends where you live.  School does not start until after Labour Day in September here, so cruises will be sailing for all of August, and in some cases all of July as well prior to our kids returning to school.

If you look at the cancelation, they coincide, in the northeast, cruises are canceled till Sept. In Florida  most ships canceled till mid Aug. Don't know for sure, but I thought that's when school started back up for kids in the southern U.S. states.

  8. Do you think these cancelled cruises coincide  with kids school schedule. RCI canceled up to the end of the summer recess. That way eliminating  unvaccinated kids ,and  the possibility of a outbreak . This kind of gets RCI out of a sticky situation by  getting rid of unvaccinated passengers without having to come out and say " we don't want your unvaxxed kid onboard".

Looks like the masks for ever / masks for life pipe dream has entered the bygone era.

From reading the CDC document, It seems that Vaccinated passenger can forgo the mask, outside and at meals.

    Fully Vaccinated Travelers

    • Cruise ship operators, at their discretion, may advise passengers and crew that—if they are fully vaccinated—they may gather or conduct activities outdoors, including engaging in extended meal service or beverage consumption, without wearing a mask except in crowded settings.

You previously made a blanket statement which is basically your opinion which you are totally entitled to.

I’d surmise the majority of those vaccinated would prefer 100% vaccination requirement.  I’d also surmise though that the majority not vaccinated do not want a 100% vaccine requirement.

I agree with you that a COVID outbreak needs to be avoided.

Yes totally correct, just my opinion. But  If you look at the link  that smokeybandit posted. To me it looks like 98% and 95% rule.
