Do kids that are diamond members get 3 free drinks. (Virgin drinks, soda, and juice) I alway get the drink package, but for my kids this might come in handy.

So I cruise a lot on RCCL, just checking to see whats new on my cruise planner for my December Symphony cruise.
I tend to go all out, since it is a vacation.
I booked the Key, Specialty dining, adult beverage pkg, etc.
Back to the reason for this post. Why is Cococay cabanas so expensive.
This is $500 more than my OV balcony cabin cost.
I would take that money and donate with a chance of winning to the Casino.
I realize they have to pay for this 200 million dollar upgrade somehow, just not getting it from me.
Your must be on sale. Took this screenshot a couple of weeks ago.

How far is the Resort from the cruise ship dock? Any trouble with return by taxi?
10 minute ride. No problem at all with return to ship. Front desk was very accomodating. Would call for pick up whenever you liked.

Just a quick question. Is I-78 E exit to Chosin Few Way to Port Liberty completed or is it still detoured on Ave E - Center Street?
Google maps shows it as driveable, but satellite view shows it still under construction.
Have been to cape liberty many times since mid july, and the last time Aug 4. Chosin few was open every time. Getting to the port was easy, now it's even easier. One piece of advice, don't take chosen few out of the port. It will lead you to side streets in bayonne. Take 440 back to turnpike extension.

Glad to hear that there shoudn't be an overcrowding problem. Just curious though, how does it work with reserving things on island(Cabanas, Excursions). Do passengers on Anthem get first dibs, Since they were scheduled all along.
-
Will be on Anthem in Nov. And now noticed that there will be 2 ships at coco cay(Anthem, Majesty). Just wondering, cause 7500 people seem like a lot of people. Does anyone have experience with this may people on the island.

What date BTW.

Try searching on facebook in events. Use Bayonne as the search city. These bands all have facebook pages. Most will list their dates on the facebook page. That's how I found out for my Nov sailing on Anthem.

Have been on freedom twice. Loved it both times. My wife and I thought it was the best food and service(outside of coastal kitchen ) of any RCI ship so far. Ship was in great shape.

I learned my lesson on this one. If you want a certain cabana go down and select on day one. Don't really like how they do this, should be first come first select at the island.

2nd formal night was day 7. Dress however you like. Formal nights aren't that formal anymore.

Does anyone know if day passes for the slides are included when purchasing A Thrill Water park Cabana?
Yes. Up to 6 people.

Was just at coco cay last week. I rented a cabana in the water park. My wife and I both agreed that it was a waste of money. BTW We always get a cabana, but on coco cay there was no need. There were empty chairs and shade every we went on the island. Rci did a great job with this island. loved it

First, I have to tell you that your reviews are excellent and very helpful.
I will be on the Anthem this Sat for the 5 night to Bermuda. I did a 4 night 2 years ago during the America's cup. At that time, there were day beds you could reserve around the bar near the North Star. I had asked about this before on this site, and people thought it was something limited to that time period, but on your cruise did you see day beds there and if so, did people reserve them?
Day bed are $150 a day on anthem. They bring you a big bottle of champagne. They Bring you food. You order off of the room service menu, and a big plate of chocolate covered strawberries You can reserve in advance, and are only charged if you show up.

Did you pre reserve the golf cart? Was it $65 for the whole day? Did they provide the snorkel equipment?
Yes I pre reserved online. Can put 4 people in cart. Yes it was $65 for the whole day. I only use for half, to tour the southern loop, and then spent the other half at the resort. I had my own snorkel equipment. There is a dive shop there, but I'm not sure if they rent gear or only sell. Also they do rent some gas cars but I didn't need that for what I wanted to do.

I posted this on another thread. But I think the Bonaire board is more appropriate. lol
My family and I were just there In april while on Freedom. Resort is Beautiful, pool is beautiful with an upscale feel to it. Food and drinks were very good but on the pricey side. Plenty of chairs and shade on the beach , Ocean was a little rocky getting in but once you get past that nice soft sand. (all of bonaires beaches are rocky). Snorkeling right from beach was very good ,tons of fish. My family and I really liked the place. And this is what I did. Took a cab $3 a person, each way. I booked day pass directly through Delfins was $15 per adult and kids under 12 were free. also upgraded to a cabana for like $10. Wasn't needed but what the hell its $10. I also rented a electric golf cart through them for $65 and self toured the southern loop of the island. Stopped at Pink Beach, Slave huts,Salt flats, Lighthouse, Jive City, Donkey Sanctuary and a couple of other places. All in all had a great time. Would recommend. If there are any other questions, ask away and I'll do my best to answer.

Has anyone visited Delfins Beach Resort either on their own with a day pass or as part of an excursion? Please tell me about the resort. The pool looks lovely, but is there enough shade there? Umbrellas? How is the beach and the ocean water? Shade on the beach? Is water rocky or clear and good for wading? Would you recommend this resort?

You might want to buy a cheap Rci excursion, if your not a suite guest. The only time I book a excursion though RCI is when tendering is involved.

At $18 I can get my money's worth in the first 1/2 hour I'm up.

This is one way to get rid of the DL. I bet they made more money this way with all the Diamond and above members buying a drink package.
