  1. Carnival does not allow passengers to attach anything to their cabin TVs.

    https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2789/~/stateroom-television-programming

"Connecting Personal Devices to Stateroom TV's

Guests are not permitted to connect Digital Cameras/Camcorders, DVDs/VCRs, USB sticks, iPods, Nintendo/X-Box Play units with the television in the staterooms; all connection ports are disabled."

P&O's website states the following about it:

    "

    Type of connections

Smart Devices (iPods | iPads | Tablets | Smartphones )

    Azura, Britannia & Ventura

These ships have interactive televisions therefore the connection sockets are used to enable the use of the interactive systems. We therefore request that these connection points are not altered."

It sounds like you might be better off finding a stand-alone hand-held gaming device. I hope this helps.

Winddawn, i found the same information on Carnival's websits, cannot hook anything up to the TV, all inputs are disabled. The only except according to Carnival is for Suites, where you can connect DVDs and other video sources, but must have your own RCA cable. "In Suite accommodations only, guests are able to connect their own DVD/video source through the television using an audio/video input plate; guests must supply their own RCA connection cables."

  2. I posted the link the OP did on another thread. I've read it carefully because i wanted to know my options throughout the day. I don't see anything that would indicate the pizza isn't available at no charge 24 hours a day. I am counting on it being available at 2am if I can't sleep like the previous poster, lol. Who wouldn't want a Funghi or Quattro Formaggi pizza anytime?

  3. Solo in the steakhouse is great. You can strike up conversations with the wait staff and the host/hostess and they make you feel right at home. You can also move the meal along at your pace so it won't take the 2 plus hours it may last if you were with a group of people. You should definitely go and enjoy the steakhouse.

Thanks for the supportive comments. Cruising solo has its benefits and a few detriments.

  4. some good comments for and against pre paying or not. I am not an expert on cruising, but in my few experiences, I've not prepaid, but I sure did get outstanding service. My room steward was always friendly, and would greet me even if we just passed each other in the hallway. I did give him an extra tip at the end to show my gratitude for his efforts.

  5. I looked on the Carnival website, looked at the amenities of my cabin and it says there is a mini fridge. I am counting on it, would be really unhappy (keeping it clean) if there wasn't.

Sorry, should have said I am on Splendor in December.

  6. My cruise in December will be my 3rd year in a row, after not cruising for almost 20 years. I can't say I am addicted because I can't afford to cruise as often as I'd like, but I am definitely excited to look at the various itineraries and wonder how to afford it. These threads are fantastic in learning about the ships and trips.

  7. I drink too much Coke on cruises, lol, so I buy a 12 pack of water through Carnival to be delivered to my room on the first day. That way I can start my morning with some water while I get ready for my busy fun day. And I can always order more water if I run out.
