  1. The same offers are still in place. Here in the contents of the cancellation email we received this week...

In order to compensate you for this cancellation, all booked guests will automatically receive a 125% Future Cruise Credit (FCC) valid until December 31st, 2021, for use on sailingsthrough May 4th, 2022.  The value of the FCC will be calculated based on the amounts paid toward your cruise and will be processed by July 31st, 2020 via email.  Cruise taxes and fees will be refunded automatically to your original form of payment within 30 days of cancellation.  If you prefer a 100% refund to your original method of payment, as opposed to the FCC, you may contact us anytime up until December 31, 2020.

If you pre-booked any shore excursions, beverage, internet, specialty dining or other onboard packages, through Celebrity Cruises, you will have the option of receiving 125% Onboard Credit (OBC) to be used on your next sailing, or you may choose a 100% refund.  In order to select the 125% Onboard Credit please (click omitted)  to submit your request.  If we have not received your choice of compensation for these pre-booked items by July 10th, you will automatically receive a full refund to your original method of payment.  Guests with independent shore excursion arrangements should contact their tour operators as soon as possible. “

Thanks for posting this.  Hopefully people waiting for cancellations to apply for refunds will be happier.

we are happy to have this clarified... also received an email from celebrity today informing us of our Aug/Sept Med cruise being cancelled!

Offered onboard credit but think we’ll take the refund! Good luck to everyone else who has had their holiday cancelled?

I have an August 9th cruise, so I'm also in the "wait and see" mode.  For now, I'm sailing until I'm not!

good way to look at it ! Same as ourselves!

I’m guessing they are holding off as long as possible to cancel to avoid processing the refunds any earlier than they have to!

  4. We are in a similar situation- sailing out of Venice on 27th Aug.

Id agree with the above comments that Celebrity will only contact you if they have something to tell you. Unfortunately no one knows at the moment if / when cruising will restart in 2020 and no customer service rep from Celebrity will give you a definite answer at this point.

i would assume the cruise is going ahead and but prepare yourselves for a cancellation. Unfortunately looking at other cruise line extensions of cancellations up until Oct 2020 I would assume celebrity may follow up.

A lot of uncertainty but that just seems to be the way of the world atm with this pandemic !

  5. Connie was going to be our next cruise (in Aug 2020) so its good to hear how people feel about the ship in its current condition considering the revolution is postponed indefinitely!

we have previous sailed on the equinox and reflection so I think we’ve been a little spoiled!

    awaiting our cancellation notification atm

I wouldn't be at all surprised for Celebrity to find a way to sell or just get rid of Constellation and Infinity.  There is no way that the cruise lines (all of them) will be up & running with full ships immediately or even soon after they re open.  They are going to need to find ways to trim expenses, maximize revenues and I think that will mean adjusting itineraries, pricing and possibly a smaller, better, fleet.  The "S" class ships that haven't been done are still wonderful vessels that have no need of huge expensive changes now, smart thing to do would be to "cut their losses" now and hope that they can make maximum $$ on the remaining fleet......and forget the remaining "EDGE" class for at least a few years.

way to take pessimism to a whole new level 🤣 Think the amount of cruises they have sold and the future plans for the company all point to this not happening. Don’t think so many people would be weighing in on whether or not the ship will get a refurb if there was a chance it wouldn’t exist!

coronavirus aside... this is all temporary! Onwards and upwards!

We were on Millennium last summer, and Revolution was nice.  We're on Constellation in late August for a 9-night port-intensive cruise.  We're in the exact same OV stateroom.  Revolution or no revolution, we love the M-Class ship.   We'll be at the Oceanview Bar or the Sky Lounge or the MDR.    I just hope the cruise is a go!  🍷

looks like we will be on the same cruise! Real shame we won’t get the new ship but we are hopeful for some sort of compensation on board and (if all goes ahead) we will make the most of it!

  8. We are booked for the med cruise Aug 2020. Unsure if the cruise will even go ahead... let alone if the ship will be revolutionised. However, as many people have already expressed, we were sold a certain standard of ship and don’t believe it’s fair to charge the same price for a shabbier cruise ship we didn’t initially book.

  9. You’ll have chic nights, there a white party on the pool deck (weather permitting), a party like gatsby night and also silent disco 🙂

Our equinox cruise last year also featuring game shows in the theatre and ABBA/Michael Jackson parties in the Sky Lounge.

you won’t be bored even though some of the theatre shows aren’t great.
