  1. I am booking a shore excursion that continues through the locks to the Pacific side. Although not on a cruise ship, does anyone know what that experience is like?
  2. Nothing has come up official yet. I am still getting the "Expired" and "Pending" message, but now when I go onto my Celebrity APP, it intermittently shows this December booking twice! Also, for my profile Captain's Club points status keeps saying "Status Pending," even though I am Classic with 116 points. (Everything is showing correctly for my Nov. 2022 cruise and my Dec. 2023 cruise.) I am optimistic!
  3. Those who have had experience with MoveUp, maybe you can answer my questions. I bid on 2 MoveUp options on my Edge cruise: (1) AquaClass; (2) Concierge Veranda. Both had been showing the offer status as "Pending." Late last night, the AquaClass is showing "Expired," while the Concierge is listed under additional offers as "Pending." Does this simply mean the AquaClass are no longer available (if "Expired"), and that I am still waiting and in the running for the Concierge? Thanks!!
  4. Any thoughts on why the cabana prices on the Beyond are 2x what they are on Edge? I have a Dec. 2022 Holiday cruise on the Edge, and the cabanas as $150 for a half or $300 for a whole. My Holiday Dec. 2023 cruise on the Beyond has the cabana at $300 for the half and $500 for the whole.
  5. I am doing on in Dec 2022 on the Edge. From the LITTLE shown in videos, there is little storage. And they seem to have no useable drawers for socks and underwear. I am planning to keep most things in my cases under my bed.
  6. This is great to hear! How long between when you bid and when you found out? And did they email you to let you know?
  7. I though so, but it is not showing up YET!! Thanks for sharing; we shall see.
  8. Today I received an email that the Chef's Table was available to book on my upcoming 11/5/22 cruise on the Millennium. (This email came at 10:43 am.) I immediately linked from the email, and nothing was showing for Chef's Table. I also logged into my cruise, and still nothing was showing. Am I missing something, or do you think it filled that quickly (in minutes)?
  9. I will be on the Edge, which does not have Murano. (My original post, above, did not say, but I also did not specify Murano.) These are the menus listed on the Edge's cruise from Dec. 22 through Jan. 2, 2022. When in "Plan My Cruise" and linking to "Dining" and "View All Dining," one sees listed (among other things) "Holiday Menu on 12/24" and "New Year's Eve Menu." When you link to those, it states "Cuisine, Steakhouse," and those are the menus listed. So unless I am missing something, that is what they are for the Celebrity Edge on that sailing -- a ship without Murano. My Original Questions Remains: Has anyone experienced either of these of Celebrity? Are they worth the $122.99 upcharge (each) -- Now $130.? What are they like?
  10. Then why do the reference “Holiday Specials” on the menu with a tree for Dec 24 and a champagne glass for NYE? Can you explain that?
  11. This one was also excellent. I have been to Alaska, but this just added to the allure of the place. I now want to go again. This one was 30 pts. Wasn't the last video 50 pts? However, this was a great video!
  12. The two menus are listed on my Dec. 22, 2022, Edge. They seem to be similar to Steakhouse, but when you read through, the Dec. 24th identifies "Holiday Specials" https://www.celebritycruises.com/media-assets/pmc/content/dam/menus/en/fcutxmseve/FCUTXMSEVE.pdf and Jan. 31st lists "Holiday Specials" https://www.celebritycruises.com/media-assets/pmc/content/dam/menus/en/fcutnewyrs/FCUTNEWYRS.pdf Not sure if they are worth the $122. And has anyone experienced these meals? What makes it a "joyous" atmosphere?
  13. That isn't quite true. Those who lost money were those who took future cruise credit when cruises were cancelled. Crystal cruisers who decided to take the refund when a cruise was cancelled (as I did) received a full refund. It was explained to me by the credit card company that payments were not released to Crystal until AFTER the cruise was delivered. My two cancelled Crystal cruises were fully refunded.
  14. Of course! but has anyone experienced this excursion is the true question I had.
  15. Has anyone experienced either of these of Celebrity? Are they worth the $122.99 upcharge (each)? What are they like?
  16. Slightly related to this topic: On my Dec. 22, 2022, Edge sailing, there is the opportunity to experience "Cooking with the Caribbean Spice Girl." Has anyone done that? I have read good reports, but the ship is charging $231 ( the Spice Girl is only charging $99 booking directly with her).
  17. My mother once misplaced a prescription. A doctor in Amsterdam called her physician, and he wrote a prescription, which we filled at a pharmacy. She had to pay the full amount. It was MUCH cheaper than at home. She then submitted the bill to her insurance at home, and they reimbursed her.
  18. On my December holiday cruise on the Edge, the Christmas Eve price is $122.99, and the menu is listed at this link: https://www.celebritycruises.com/media-assets/pmc/content/dam/menus/en/fcutnewyrs/FCUTNEWYRS.pdf Problem is, what is listed certainly is NOT worth the price, especially if it is not including specialty wines or champagne.
  19. I am doing one of these in St. Lucia (Castries) on my Millennium cruise in October. I am also interested in the general time for the evening dinner.
  20. Do the solarium pools have regular steps down into them, or are they only accessible using pool ladders? (I am specifically wondering about Beyond.)
  21. What about storage in the Single (Solo) IV cabins? Is the amount of storage the same of the Edge and on the Beyond?
  22. This is true. If one should get hurt while off the ship or sick and needs to be off-boarded to an island hospital, there is the problem of trying to return to the US without a passport. As you mentioned, that means dealing with the local US Embassy. This was the issue a couple of years ago when the closed-loop Carnival cruise had to end in Mexico, and passengers were stuck. The US Passport agency states, "We recommend that everyone taking a cruise from the United States have a passport book. Though some “closed-loop” cruises may not require a U.S. passport, we recommend bringing yours in case of an emergency, such as an unexpected medical air evacuation or the ship docking at an alternate port. 23. Hi. Anyone that has first hand knowledge or can access an upcoming Celebrity Beyond planner: What is the cost of the private cabanas near the pool? Are they divided into a large one or smaller one, like on the Edge? (On the Edge they are $150 sm. and $300 large.) I would like to hear any feedback. Thanks, Robert
  24. It is interesting with the big change in the cruise industry of including single or solo cabins, the Cunard has chosen to NOT include single cabins in their new ship, Queen Anne! When booking those cabins on QE, QV, and QM2, one must often book month or years in advance. Celebrity Cruises has recognized the need to cater to single travelers, and are including such cabins on all of their new Edge Series ships. However, Cunard decides to take a step back.
