  1. Trying other cruise lines can be fun, and a way to expand your travel experiences. There are only 2 lines (of the many I have tried) that I would never again cruise. And I don't like ANY ship of ANY line the name of which should be "The Megalopolis of the Seas." Anything with 3,000 or more passengers, I cringe. Hitting the 4,000 and the 5,000 mark I simply pass out at the thought of it! Other than the 2 ships/lines I dare not mention (for fear of total internet annihilation) every ship I have been on I have enjoyed for the fellow passengers (small numbers and larger numbers), the officers, and the crew.
  2. I did this same tour in Nov. 2022. It was excellent. I thought (as did many on the tour) that the lunch at the Pink Plantation was the main course. Greatly surprised that we then did the galley tour AND dinner in the Tuscan Restaurant. Our menu was slightly different, but equally as fantastic!!
  3. Is it included in the price of the internet packages?
  4. Interesting that wifi calling is blocked but not FaceTime or zoom.
  5. Will be on the Legend. If I want to use wifi calling and texting (but not surfing internet, watching movies, games, or social media), will the social plan suffice? Also, if I want to access apps, do I need to upgrade to Value? Also, when putting it into my cart for 2 people, both getting the same plan, I had to acknowledge that only ONE person could access the internet at a time. Is that true? Even when BOTH are paying for their own plan? Thanks!!
  6. Thanks for the responses. I do know people who have been invited to dine in the Grills (from regular Britannia class) and did so on occasion.
  7. Hi. If I am booked as a single in Britannia Club, am I permitted to bring a guest to dinner, if I am sitting at a table for two? When I sailed Celebrity in a suite, I was reminded almost nightly that as a single person, I was permitted to bring a guest to dinner, since I was already sitting at a table for 2 and using only 1 chair. Does anyone know if this holds true of Cunard? Thanks!
  8. Need some further info. Is it a ship’s tour or a private tour?
  9. Drink package is showing 15% for purchase and 15% upgrade for Elite: https://www.celebritycruises.com/content/dam/celebrity/pdf/captains-club-tiers-and-benefits-chart.pdf
  10. This information is very odd, as it seems that ONLY Celebrity Shore Excursions are this tight and restrictive about age, height, and weight. Funny, I was on a Celebrity excursion in early November, and the height restriction stated on the ticket that no one UNDER 6' 6" were permitted to be on the tour. No one of the tour was that height, but we all went.
  11. This is what I received via email from Celebrity concerning my Edge cruise on Dec. 22 for 11 nights:
  12. These conversations are always so interesting -- Celebrity S-class vs E-class. One should be aware that some of the S class ships host total nude cruises. Talk about a demographic! These "high energy" crowds may have been a special cruise, focused on that demographic, as do the nudist cruises? And as for numbers of passengers, does one really see the difference between 2,900 passengers on a 130 ton E-class as opposed to 2,200 on a 90 ton ship, like the Summit?
  13. Hi. When you left the ship in Lake Gatun, how long was it before you boarded the ferry/boat for the rest of the transport? Did you go all the way to the Pacific? Panama City? And how long was the bus ride back to Colon? Was the bus comfortable? Thanks!!!
  14. Hi. What was that tour like? Was it worth the time? When you left the ship in Lake Gatun, how long was it before you boarded the ferry/boat for the rest of the transport? Did you go all the way to the Pacific? Panama City? And how long was the bus ride back to Colon? Was the bus comfortable? Thanks!!!

  16. Mine did the same. It was showing one as expired and the other as pending. Also, come of the reservation information was blanked out on the APP. I am sailing Dec. 22, and the MoveUp was finalized on Nov. 1. Looks like you are in!
  17. I booked the Millennium out of San Juan during the promotion window and sailed Nov. 1. My extra points ("double") appeared 2 weeks later. Note: I was sailing in a Sky Suite as a single, so I received 3x's the points for myself (suite X 2 for sailing single; and another set of points for sailing from San Juan). So: 8 + 8 (as a single) + 8 for San Juan X 7 = 168 + 8 for "go green" = 176 total. (This brought me from Classic to within 5 pts of Elite!)
  18. Interestingly, on Cunard recently, I was only paying $90 for VC. Goes to show Celebrity markup
  19. Just for informational purposes: I am sailing the Edge over the holidays, and they are offering pre-cruise purchase of Veuve Clicquot for $130 per bottle (before any Captain's Club discounts). They have really overpriced their stock, as I can purchase V.C. for $59 per bottle (not on sale) at my local shop. I realize that cruise ships are overpriced in their wine prices, but more than double is ridiculous.
  20. I just did one in St. Lucia. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had on a shore excursion. At the cost of the excursion, I only tipped the tour guide/driver (together) a small amount. I did not tip the chef or those who served at lunch at the restaurant, as part of the high cost included the tips. I am not cheap or stingy, but I do believe that all inclusive is just that. I know you will really enjoy this excursion.
  21. Has there been a Power Up since the one on Alaska? I have not seen anything for November.
  22. Hi. I waited several weeks, but my cruise is in late Dec. For a few weeks I was “Pending.”
  23. Well, it seems I was upgraded!! For only $301 (x2 + $6 added tips) I went from small single on the Edge to a larger Concierge IV. Larger cabin, some perks, and better position on the ship, with NO views of lifeboat roofs!!!
  24. Yes, it is. I am looking forward to the canal experience.
