U.K. Guests get one litre per person per day on all cruises with all gratuities included
-
We went recently but with TUI and the shuttle was free and was provided by the port authorities. Recommend going to the Volvo museum which is right where the cruises ships dock, 10 euros entrance but well worth it if interested in all types if vehicles.
-
You can just walk off with carry on luggage just not big suitcases
-
Could you advise what time main dining rooms and buffet are open.thanks
-
But the servers on the ship are not from USA and don't get paid way below minimum wage they get industry standard wage. If USA lets business get away with wages below minimum that need addressing, it would be illegal in UK and the owners would get fined heavily
-
I cannot understand the logic of this constant tipping for everything which Americans do but no one else in the world. You have already paid 20% which is excessive why give more? I have been on several NCL cruises and pother lines and never tipped extra and the service is no different too so one waving $ bills around
-
We are in UK and last 3 NCL cruises we have received an upgrade email the day after we paid final balance which is due 60 days before cruise date. They always include option to bid on cabins which are showing as sold out on website.
-
If you get upgraded to a suite from mini suite which we have bid minimum on woould you get all perks of suite e.g. Butler etc. We would like extra room of suite but don't really want/need a butler and wouldn't want to have to pay extra tips out fr one.

I got free unlimited drinks plus basic internet package free when I booked a UAE cruise back in February for next year. I sent an email regarding price of upgrading and got a very prompt response confirming prices if I wished to proceed. We haven't decided yet but cost of upgrading standard to deluxe packages was £147 for both for 7 days.
-
We also did the grand tour with greys and it was a great tour and reasonable price and not stuck in a large coach with very slow and complaining cruisers!
-
We just walked off Spirit in February at about 9 after breakfast, took our own bags which saved all the hassle of looking for ours amongst all the hundreds of others. There were loads of taxis outside, took about 25 mins approx. I think taxi strike is over FTB
-
We were are end of June and the standard of food in both restaurants was very good although I would say the choice is fairly limited compared to what you expect on lines like NCL or RCL. The buffet is particularly poor on choices. We do try the Tapas restaurant and it was very good for a nice change. The restaurants do get very busy at times and sometimes the wait was 45 minutes but with included drinks it's no problem!

They always have premier league football on from U.K. Which has a massive global audience but I have also seem American football on
-
Thanks but were fairly fit and prefer to walk plus we only have airline cabin bags so no heavy bags to shift
-
Ok do you know where we can buy them or do you have to get in advance?
-
we are staying in Venice for 2 nights post cruise and I read you can get a 3 day pass for vaporetta but this excludes the Alliguna i.e. The water bus to airport.
Does anyone know if you can buy combined ticket or do you need separate ones and where can you buy the tickets? We will need one on disembarkation to get to our hotel which is other side of river from port.
-
Is the people mover a shuttle and where do you get tickets
-
we are arriving by train into main Venice train station, Santa Lucia and going on Adriatic cruise on Star. We will only have carry on luggage and wanted to know how far and easy is it to walk to cruise terminal?
-
We booked a UAE cruise in May for Jan 2019 and anytime drinks package plus basic internet package was included with all balcony cabins and mealtime drinks with ocean view. We booked a Bella balcony with anytime drinks.
I notice for new bookings this offer has gone but price is about £30 cheaper pp

Anyone over 18 book with a European cruise line who don't have all the hang over age 21 that Americans have and you can legally drink in most of the world except USA although you can still fight in their army at 18!
-
In The UK we get a liter of bottled water per person per day with UBP package and this is in room when you board
-
We never add a tip to bar bill and only Americans do. We willl leave a tip in restaurant if service is good maybe 5%
-
The way this gratuity matter is going it willl soon be compulsory 25% DSC and then every one will be tipping extra 5$ per drink.
This constant tipping needs to stop and most countries in the worllld don't subscribe and despite what many may think the vast majority of cruises outside USA and near waters are occupied by non Americans!

Over the top tips and extra tips for everything that moves is an American thing so if your not one don't bother.
Status Match question
in MSC Cruises
Posted
I am a U.K. Cruiser with 2 prior cruises with NCL in past 12 months, can I ask for status match , is it worth it as at low level and how do I request status match? Have booked an MSC cruise for January 2019 and only paid deposit so far.
