  1. Thanks for very useful information, we normally like to eat about 8pm but don't think we can wait until 9.30pm and would find it difficult to sleep with a big meal too late so may have to go for 18.30 and maybe use buffet sometimes

  2. an anyone advise what time you can get on board on the cruises out of Dubai, most flights are not overnight from U.K. Getting in c 7/8 am and wondered what is process from then.

Also returning on early afternoon flight, what time do you have to disembark.

Thanks for any information and views on these UAE cruises

  3. Finally got a response as follows

It will depend which date you wish to fly on with which cruise number.

However, as an example, I have the following information:

    E904 08 Feb 19

    LGW - Emirates - departing 08 Feb 19, 20:25 arrival in to DXB at 07:20 09 Feb

    Departing DXB 19 Feb 19, 14:35 arrival in to LGW 18:25 19 Feb 19

There are no upgrades available on these LGW flights.

    MAN - Virgin - departing 08 Feb 19, 21:30 arrival in to DXB at 08:30 09 Feb

    Departing DXB 19 Feb 19, 11:30 arrival in to MAN 16:00 19 Feb 19

These Virgin flights have Economy, Premium Economy and Upper Class available.

Obviously you will need to check with our Reservations Team on 03453 555 111 for the cruise you want to take as all flights will be subject to availability.

I hope this information has helped to answer your enquiry and we look forward to welcoming you on board soon.

    Kind regards

    Helen

  4. We are thinking of booking a 7 days Britannia Norwegian fjords cruise but wanted to know how long you got in each port. Anyone who has got confirmation of excursions timetable could possibly give this information it would be appreciated.

  5. Well I was on in January with my wife and friends and we had a great time, weather was great, the itinerary was great but some issues with where shuttle drops you in Casablanca, food was very good in our opinion in all restaurants and we didn't use specialty ones. We also thought entertainment was very good overall. So we all thought excellent value for money.

  6. Just back from Spirit, had a balcony room and we thought it was excellent with very comfortable large bed and large bathroom. The food, entertainment and vast majority of staff were very good, we did not eat in any speciality restaurants and always found plenty if choice on main menus. We ate in buffet for breakfast and lunch and ate outside on a number of occasions as wether was very good.

  7. hi,

Can anyone recently off Spirit please advise if there are kettles in rooms for making tea, we are in a balcony deck 9.

Also what type of electrical sockets and numbers in cabins, finally are the room hairdryers any good for long thick hair or should I bring my own.

    Thanks for any help

  8. Most cruisers who will be Europeans on a Europe based cruise will not be tipping bar tenders etc per drink, they may tip a few euros at end of night if they have been served by same server several times. Most cruisers will tip a few euros or $ at end of cruise to steward , favourite bar staff etc.

The constant tipping for anything is very much an American thing and not common elsewhere in the world.
