Thanks for very helpful information, we have only done flexible dining before on various lines. Was the dining experience very long waiting for all table to order etc, and were you finished in time for shows, entertainment etc?
-
Thanks for very useful information, we normally like to eat about 8pm but don't think we can wait until 9.30pm and would find it difficult to sleep with a big meal too late so may have to go for 18.30 and maybe use buffet sometimes
-
Thanks for all information, one more thing , is early dinner 18.30 always or does this vary as well?
-
Anyone got some information on best aft cabins on Splendida either Bella or Fantastica ? Also do yin get noise from the stairs next to the end aft cabins?
-
Another question, anyone been on recently let us know what time the late dining is as whilst it says approx 8.30 pm I have seen other comments say it could be 9 or 9.30 pm

Can you get breakfast or other food before you get cruise cards?

Finally got a response as follows
It will depend which date you wish to fly on with which cruise number.
However, as an example, I have the following information:
E904 08 Feb 19
LGW - Emirates - departing 08 Feb 19, 20:25 arrival in to DXB at 07:20 09 Feb
Departing DXB 19 Feb 19, 14:35 arrival in to LGW 18:25 19 Feb 19
There are no upgrades available on these LGW flights.
MAN - Virgin - departing 08 Feb 19, 21:30 arrival in to DXB at 08:30 09 Feb
Departing DXB 19 Feb 19, 11:30 arrival in to MAN 16:00 19 Feb 19
These Virgin flights have Economy, Premium Economy and Upper Class available.
Obviously you will need to check with our Reservations Team on 03453 555 111 for the cruise you want to take as all flights will be subject to availability.
I hope this information has helped to answer your enquiry and we look forward to welcoming you on board soon.
Kind regards
Helen

Hi, our cruise ship the Norwegian Star is stopping from 7am to only 1pm so only limited time. Will there be taxis about at 7am or indeed a bus to take us to old town as we want to explore walls and town and try and do cable car.
Also what time does cable car and walls open to public and finally can we pay in euros or where do we get local currency?
Thanks for any help

We booked a mini suite on star for oCtober last July and price as £1400 inc. all drinks and gratuities. It's now £1900 with limited availability so they have definitely gone up a lot

Get the NZ Sauvignon Blanca called Matua it is really good, the California one is not good and they will try and give you this if you just ask for Sauvignon
-
They had one in January in stars of galaxy bar, personally thought but was a load of rubbish just a lot of very loud music, staff shouting and guests jumping around dancing so we left after 30 minutes
-
We are thinking of booking a 7 days Britannia Norwegian fjords cruise but wanted to know how long you got in each port. Anyone who has got confirmation of excursions timetable could possibly give this information it would be appreciated.

We returned a few weeks ago and there are signs in all bars etc stating 10 % Spanish tax will be added, however it is only in Spanish waters so not that big a deal. Our bill for the 10 days was something like 20$ and we were in the bars often!
-
Do they normally offer drinks packages or other perks nearer sailing dates as nothing for 2019 cruises at present except a fairly high price!
-
Well I was on in January with my wife and friends and we had a great time, weather was great, the itinerary was great but some issues with where shuttle drops you in Casablanca, food was very good in our opinion in all restaurants and we didn't use specialty ones. We also thought entertainment was very good overall. So we all thought excellent value for money.

Had all the premiership games on Spirt recently, they are shown in all bars with no volume but you can watch in bedroom with volume if desired.
-
The free drinks package we received on Spirit recently included bottled water, they give you one litre bottle per day per person which is left in cabin at start. We. Actually ad 20 1.5 litre bottles for our 10 day cruise and struggled to drink it all as you can get iced water in demand at any bar
-
Just back from Spirit, had a balcony room and we thought it was excellent with very comfortable large bed and large bathroom. The food, entertainment and vast majority of staff were very good, we did not eat in any speciality restaurants and always found plenty if choice on main menus. We ate in buffet for breakfast and lunch and ate outside on a number of occasions as wether was very good.
-
hi,
Can anyone recently off Spirit please advise if there are kettles in rooms for making tea, we are in a balcony deck 9.
Also what type of electrical sockets and numbers in cabins, finally are the room hairdryers any good for long thick hair or should I bring my own.
Thanks for any help

What's pickleball, sounds like throwing pickles about, which are small onions soaked in vinegar!!

Most cruisers who will be Europeans on a Europe based cruise will not be tipping bar tenders etc per drink, they may tip a few euros at end of night if they have been served by same server several times. Most cruisers will tip a few euros or $ at end of cruise to steward , favourite bar staff etc.
The constant tipping for anything is very much an American thing and not common elsewhere in the world.
