We could also list those that aren't physically going but wish they were 😟😢😁😁

    Hugs

Uhhh, that would be the rest of us home bound, non cruising (that week), certainly drinking, vicariously vacationing Tribe members!

It only took me 7 pages to activate 😉

Calling any Wegmans fans out there ... we never had one nearby when we lived in NJ. But there is one in Raleigh. I have to go to a doc appt in Raleigh on Friday so am going to stop by Wegmans. I have been to that one before and I remember they have some EXCELLENT (this from a NY/NJ chick) frozen (yes frozen) bialys in the Kosher frozen section. And they have a "by the pound" mixed cookies area which blew my socks off (mostly on Joe's account since he is a sweets freak, but also on mine). They have a good bagel section with lots of flavored cream cheeses made there ... and I remember a refrigerated section with yummy appetizers. Anything else they have that is extra good? I get there rarely so I want to load up on good(bad) stuff.

    their cheese section................

I jinxed it myself Saturday night. Was talking to a friend who is a Jets fan and said "we gotta lose eventually."

We have tickets for game 2 tomorrow night and I'm seriously debating selling. It's going to be a nightmare - Phillies, Flyers and Mexico vs Germany at The Linc. Not sure I'm up for that chaos on a school night.

😱 I hate to say it,  but .....

And, tomorrow night sounds like a traffic nightmare.  At anytime, but especially a school night.

I'm going to tune in from the comfort of my home with readily available snacks and adult beverages.

Wash cloths are scarce in many parts of Europe and in the UK.  The first time I went to London we stayed in a small hotel.  When I asked Housekeeping for them, they weren't sure what they were and definitely didn't have any.  Now any time I cross the pond I pack the oldest threadbare wash cloths that I have.  I use them while there and then throw them away.  I'm not gonna deal with packing wet wash cloths and it's a good excuse to buy new ones.

Try the "Compressed towels" .  Pack of 100 (or so).  I believe they are on the A website (what isn't).

You can use them a couple of times.  I always bring a handful on any trips.

@HeyJut, you were right after all. Tonight around 11:00 pm, my dad passed away, apparently peacefully in his sleep, although we will never really know. They found him in bed during evening rounds. And yes, I keep feeling shocked. It goes away. Then it comes back anew. Thank you all for your ongoing support and words of kindness. Rest in peace, Colonel.

So sorry to hear of your loss.  Prayers and condolences!!

    Hi Sid,

Just finished latest season of Virgin River and they had this tequila Clase Azul.

I wondered if you had come across it or even tried it?

It's been in oak barrels for 8 months and is around $300 a bottle.

It is amazing!! DH gave it to me for my BD last year.

We did Viking’s Antarctic Expedition cruise on Octantis in February 2023 and sailed below the Antarctic Circle (we have the certificates to prove it!).  Luckily, we also had good weather and made 4 landings in Antarctica.  A wonderful “hard to top” cruise.

    Awesome! Thanks!

We went December 2022-January 2023 on the Octantis and we’re extremely lucky with the weather and seas. We were also very lucky in that our sailing was the furthest south that Viking has ever been (at that time) and we did in fact cross over into the Antarctic Circle. We stopped at several islands and we also landed and walked “ON” the continent of Antarctica. 😃

I’m not sure if this is the “norm” or if Viking does this every time as this trip is weather dependent. It was the trip of a lifetime and we loved every single moment and very happy we sailed with Viking.

    You’ve heard the commercial…

”Explore the world in comfort.” (Said in my very best British accent)😆

    Thank you!

  9. I have a question for those that have taken the Antarctic cruise with Viking.  Do they make an effort to cross the Antarctic Circle, or do they just do landings on the Antarctic peninsula that is outside of the circle?

I realize any landings are weather and sea dependent. We are looking at a Jan or Feb 2025 trip.

    TIA!

A couple of weeks ago I bought myself a really nice bottle of tequila, but for the life of me I just can't choke it down... I consider myself to have a pretty good pallette when it comes to fine spirits, but this stuff just doesn't agree with me. I've tried a couple of times to drink it straight, but I just can't do it. So, now I've just been using it for margaritas. I feel strange using hundred dollar a bottle tequila for mixed drinks, but otherwise I won't ever use the stuff...

What is it, if I may be so bold as to ask??
