We won't even disembark at Falmouth, Jamaica, and Cozumel, Mexico anymore. It's not worth it.
If you don't care about the destinations, I'd choose Oasis over Freedom. If you care about the itinerary and already love Freedom, then choose the itinerary you love.

Has anyone who sailed since 07/30/2018 noticed a reduction of foo foo dogs on board?
I have NEVER see foo foo dogs onboard to begin with.

You can get free coffee or tea at international cafe with a coffee card. However in the past you could use card on future cruises (without free coffee benefit) but now coffee card expires when cruise ends
hmmm' date=' but first I'd have to [b']pay [/b]for the coffee card. Why pay when I can enjoy FREE tea and coffee for FREE?
-
that's the one thing I don't like about Princess: you get delicious pastries at the International Cafe, but if you want free tea or coffee, you have to go to the Horizon buffet to get them. Very inconvenient.
On RCI ships we loved getting tea and pastries at the Promenade Cafe without having to run all over the ship.

while my own DS does not go to kid's club by his choice, our friends' kids have loved Princess kid's club above all other kid's clubs. They have cruised since they were 3 and are now 11 and 9, and still love going to the kid's club.

we didn't have a parade in Nov 17, and I don't really care whether we did or not.
However, the Baked Alaska treat was renamed into Bomba Diplomata. That was weird.
I don't care for it anyway.

I sailed on the Regal Princess when she was fairly new, she was a lovely ship despite the awkward time when you realize the central staircase is "missing". We (my mother/her sister and myself) enjoyed our cruise but wasn't our favorite.
it is no longer missing. They installed a central staircase, and we enjoyed using it in November 2017.
The thing is - we didn't know it was missing when it was actually missing. Didn't make a difference to us, and I've only read about the lack of central staircase and how it bugged some people on cruisecritic boards.

we simply pack 3 1-gallon ziplock bags - one for each member of the family, with all the prescription bottles and over-the-counter meds.
You never know when you may get stuck overseas and you may need your meds for longer than the cruise lasts.

not on my Allure. Still $15.99

We were in a deluxe balcony cabin and we didn't have a foot stool.

I ‘m hoping they keep the Kung foo panda noodle place. It would be fun to try something different.
I would love to have that as well.

Oh you are not a sweet tea addict are you?
probably not a fan of diabetes. :)
-
This thread concerned the pax having a health issue that she would only bring to the doctor's attention AFTER sailing. The bottom line is the last place to be with a medical situation is a cruise ship. They know this and don't want you on the ship when it happens.
well, if general health being in tip top shape were a prerequisite for cruising, older people in general and some younger people with chronic issues wouldn't be cruising at all.
-
It also depends on your definition of "tremendous" - $500 insides on Oasis class ships are already commonly available.
but not during the school and holiday breaks and not for a room of 3-4 people.
heck, when Independence was a brand new ship, we sailed it for $258pp on a 7 day cruise. Not during a school break, though. Now, that's a bargain.
-
Take a look at Oasis and Allure. Quite reasonable prices on the 2 older sisters much of the time. The younger sisters Harmony and Symphony are commanding a premium.
it's interesting... I booked the 3 of us into an Allure inside cabin for $1,600 total during the Kids Sail Free event at the beginning of July. 3 weeks later the same cabin is $3,042 for 3 people. What a difference! I think I totally stumbled upon a sale by chance.

we usually bring clothes that do not wrinkle all that much. I prefer rayon, it usually doesn't wrinkle at all.
What does wrinkle gets packed on top of everything else, fully unfolded. Like hubby's dress shirt.

in my case the high risk was due to age (36) and gestational diabetes. In the 2nd trimester these two would not be a deterrent in general.
-
why not ask on the NCL board?

Please share your experience with these two cruises. Is the kids club or activities better on one vs the other. My older two will probably use the kids club, the baby will hang out with us while we drink  Judge if you want, I just want to have fun!
well, I haven't been on either ship, but my 7 yo kid doesn't do kid's club, so he usually goes everywhere with us. Happy hour and bingo included.
He's been cruising since he was 3... So, I am not judging when a kid hangs out with you while you are drinking, but the question is - is the drink package worth it, if you are not going to max it out?

it's tuRmeric.
I take it as supplement in capsules, and it does wonders for my arthritis and inflammation. I have been pain free for a year now.
-
matters 100% above all to my husband. He has respiratory allergies galore, so it's important for him to have a newer ship with less dust and dirt. He doesn't care about anything else.
for me it's 25/25/25/25 split between the age of the ship, quality/variety of food and activities, price and destination ports. I am the one who pays and makes choices anyway.

We will be in E505 next year on the Royal. Does anyone have photos from the balcony? I have seen Renmar’s
Cheera and thanks, Denise
who do you think provides them to Renmar? We all do.
-
Do people on princess not like hot tubs?
Regal has nice hot tubs and yes, people on Princess love hot tubs.
My DH and DS love them, but I am indifferent.
-
my parents were in E502. It was quiet, even though it was above the public area and close to the elevators.
Harmony seems expensive

you gotta catch it a the right moment. On July 4th I booked us into an inside cabin on Allure for $1,600 total (3 people). 3 weeks later the same cabin for 3 people was pricing at $3,042.
I bought directly on RCI's website.
