When are guarantee cabins assigned?
many on our cruise 2 weeks ago got their assignments literally 3-4 days before the cruise. However, they paid $499 pp for a minisuite guarantee, whereas I paid a lot more for an inside cabin, so they weren't complaining too loudly. They said they saved a ton of money by booking a guarantee compared to booking an assigned cabin. 🙂

We just did cave tubing with Butts up first week of June 2024. Here is my review: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/3013301-enchanted-princess-review-june-1-2024-western-caribbean-with-food-pics-dailies-and-more/page/2/#comment-67514678

Day 2 on Enchanted and not only no towel animals, but still haven’t met our cabin steward.
that's not good. Both of ours were around all the time.

I am curious, should any of you decided to share, are you fully vaccinated against Covid, including boosters?
yes, of course, but it's been more than a year and a half since the last booster, so it won't make any difference.

I love seeing the different towel animals, as I got used to having them on the Carnival ships that I cruised on. If we do this ship, I will look forward to seeing them once again.
neither our cabin attendant, nor my parents cabin attendant made any towel animals.
I am assuming they are very busy and have no time for this....
But Enchanted had a demo last year and a demo this year, and it's still fun.

Save on things you’ll probably do anyway
was$165$72per person/daySave 56%ADD PLUS
Is Princess getting ready to increase the price? I may want to book, but I don't want the higher price Plus. I know I could add it on board
I saw the same last month. Plus was $70 and Premier was $90. I even asked here when the price increased. I looked directly on Princess website. An hour later it was back to normal. Glitches...
It was for a cruise out of Ft Lauderdale, and I am in the US.

Premier also includes Princess Prizes, we've won >$500, spa credit, and trinkets just going in and out of the cabin.
and we got $25 total in Princess Prizes (between 4 of us).

last week on Enchanted it was ALL cans. Once in a while a bar didn't have cans or cold cans, but had a fountain soda machine.
What I found more interesting is that they didn't charge us for Red Bull, San Pelegrino or Perrier, but the app said we only get 25% off of them with premier package.

Wow I thought there was some kind of immunity period of a few months after getting it, but I guess it might have been different strains?
most likely. The current one is a lot lighter. April one was like our bout in 2022 - with rib-wrenching cough and misery.

Are you the one who said that The Catch was not good???
Ouch... That is a full upcharge.
no, we enjoyed it, except for my DH's catch of the day - he didn't like his main course. And ours was included in the Premier package, except for the kiddo. OBC paid for him.

I said the same in the survey. What's with all the beans????? Ran out of potatoes?

We are taking our 13 year old granddaughter on 7 day cruise
we just did an 8 day on Reflection with our 13 yo DS. He had fun.
He doesn't like teen club anyway, but he went for 20 minutes to make us happy. It had nice programming and other teens enjoyed it.

All in all, we had a great cruise, 10/10 would do it again. 🙂
Disembarkation was pretty smooth, even with slight delays, so we finally got off between 9:30 and 10. Got an uber pretty quickly and headed to MIA airport. Sadly, we couldn't take advantage of the EZ check as I planned, since our plane left MIA at 1 pm. I thought it was leaving at 2:30, but no. On a positive note, we finally got home before dark. 🙂 We usually take a very late afternoon flight and get home at 9-10 pm, but SW changed our FLL departure from 5 pm to 7 pm, so we were able to change our flight for free to a 1 pm departure out of MIA instead. Yay!

SO fun to re-live a cruise / nice-vacation with the photos!!!
Keep them coming!!!
well, since you asked... 🙂
I have some random pics with food selections from the International cafe and the buffet.
DS tried the pizza rolls in the upper left corner and said they were good:
The desserts were nowhere near as nice as in 2022... Sadly.
Different day:
Dinner at the buffet on day 4:
Some things looked very sad.
Others looked better:
Every other day there were sub type sandwiches in the buffet with shrimp salad in them. I scraped it off the big buns and it was delicious.
Grilled veggies were very good.
For breakfast I ate egg muffins from the IC exclusively. DH, DS and my parents headed directly to the buffet, while I detoured to IC to grab 4 of the delightful little muffins (they warm them up for you) and am iced vanilla bean latte. Then I joined my family who enjoy more standard breakfast fare.

We didn’t seek out Take Five but I do remember barely being able to hear the employee at Guest Services due to construction work that was taking place a floor above- which would have been the Casino area so I think you are right.
oh, was it noisy? we walked by the casino several times (ugh, the smoke smell is bad) and went to the Guest Services several times as well, and there was no noise. I totally forgot Take 5 even existed until I started doing my review and got to the entertainment section and thought to myself - hmmm, JamieLogical mentioned it quite a bit....

unfortunately, my kid has refused to participate in kid's club since he started sailing at 3. He tried teen's club on X in April for about 20 minutes and noped out of there, lol. Just doesn't care for strangers.

We just got back from an 8-day cruise to Italy on the Legend. It was fine except for I came home with Covid and I didn't sleep well because of noise from something related to the ship. I am feeling exhausted rather than excited. Granted, it may be because I have Covid. But what if I get Covid again after my Splendor sailing?
so what?
My DH got covid on our April cruise and last week on our June cruise as well. It was much worse in April.
Not gonna stop cruising.

It is not the "rudeness of the clientele". It is because they are not American and they do not act and behave like someone from the US. That, by definition of an American, makes them "bad" or "rude". The world does not evolve around the social standards of the United States. In fact, the US is in the minority.
It is, though. When an Italian guy cuts in line in front of you right right as you are about to place an order for coffee, and then he has the nerve to yell out to the rest of the people at his table, asking them what they also want him to order from the bar, it is RUDE no matter where you are from. I am originally from Europe, and this is still rude. Social standards in the US are quite similar to that of Europe in that regard.

Drinking all that alcohol didn't prevent my DH from contracting covid on this cruise as well. The poor dude got covid on our April cruise on X, and I thought for sure he'd built up some immunity. Nope, he got it again. I am perplexed since he is younger and healthier than me. His April bout made him absolutely miserable, with non-stop coughing. It is milder this time, thank goodness.
So, take care and bring some echinacea, Vit C, D, B, zinc, cough drops and meds, and please consider wearing a mask if you feel sick, so if you do get it, you could protect those around you. Especially those in the same cabin as you. We didn't get it because DH wore a mask right away.
