Just reviewed uk pricing v U.S. pricing for a cruise I`d researched on Azamara website. No current 60% off second guest.

    Today 2nd April. Category V2 US price $8127 =£5877. UK price £8578 = $11865

Here's hoping they have a similar offer in UK soon.

Is it not possible for you to book through a US based company?

  2. Actually, I left Flam off thinking they will be closing to cruise ships.  Both those ports were on our lovely Silhouette cruise that has just cancelled.  I would very much like to see Flam and now you have whetted my appetite more.  We shall see.  Maybe when we're on board the Journey next April we will have someone help us to book the Norwegian Fjords.

  3. I  will be looking forward to your decision.  We had that same itinerary B2B booked on Silhouette Aug/Sept this year.  The Norway cruise has been cancelled and we are waiting to see what happens to the Ireland/Iceland one.  We have never sailed Azamara either but we have a 40 day B2B (Asia/Spice route) booked for 2022.  Can't wait for this.

I wonder if they might have a sale soon as the current one ended yesterday.  You might pick up a better deal.

  4. We did have a good time on the 17 days on Eclipse, last March, where we were not welcome in any South American ports.  However it was a free cruise thanks to Celebrity.  I don't think I would pay for a cruise like that.  In fact we are worried that our Sept 4 cruise out of Southampton could become that since it will be the first Silhouette cruise with international passengers.

  5. So far I'm finding Azamara really pleasant to work with and I can't wait to taste their wares!  Literally.  hopefully this time next year we will be getting ready to pack.

Very disappointed yesterday to have another cruise cancelled.  Aug 26, Norwegian Fjords (Silhouette) with an itinerary we are not likely to see again.

We did Hawaii 2x on Celebrity.  First was in 2002 on Summit for 11 days, Honolulu to Vancouver.  Second time was RT LA to Hawaii and back.  Loved both of them.   I have sailed 4X with Princess and their food and entertainment were subpar compared to X.  Their mini suite is a big nothing.

Agree with previous posters on the seating in the main theater not being sufficient for the guests.  Celebrity's theater will seat 1/2 the passengers.

Did you visit Kauai on that trip?  We have a photo of Summit docked in Nawiliwili harbour.  Wish Celebrity still went there.

I think the difference between my experience and @TeaBag's is that my price went down, so I was able to 'rebook' and get both the lower price and the added benefit.  When the price goes up, they don't let you keep your old lower price and also get the new benefit.  But I'm grateful that in my case they didn't charge me the cancellation penalty for 'rebooking.'

Not fair Jazzbeau.  You're just too lucky.  Ever thought of being a TA?

I will be very interested in seeing where the prices go April 1.

Tea Bag, which one of your cruises did you get that on?  I just looked at my invoice and I don't see anything about a $500.00 credit - but I did get the reduced price when you first told me about this back in Dec.

The Tokyo to Singapore one, sorry.  I had only booked it a week prior.  I guess they thought I had booked the other one too long ago?  I phoned Azamara and they said I could have it on both of them but the TA would have to phone to get it.  She said I would have to rebook at the higher price.

I just saved 30% by rebooking my Pursuit September 2022 cruise under the soon-to-expire Azamara sale.  The sale has been going on for a while, but I'm pretty sure my cruise was only added recently.  The cabin fares were reduced by exactly 30%, as touted in the sale banner for this cruise.  [It is part of the "Up to 40% off" sale, but most cruises seem to be getting 30%.  But the point is that it is a real 30% off.]

Did you get the $500 OBC as well?  I did on one of mine but they wouldn't allow it on the other unless I cancelled and rebooked at the higher price.  Bah.

Never been on Princess but between those two I would recommend the Vancouver one way. We took that on Celebrity a few years ago. Unlike the round trip you can add a post cruise extension in hawaii. That's what we did. Ours was Hawaii to Vancouver and flew out to  Hawaii 5 days early and spent some extra time on the islands.

I recommend Celebrity too.  In fact we are booked on the Honolulu - Vancouver 2023 sailing.  Your idea of the one way providing time in Hawaii is excellent.  We have a TS in Kauai and we love to go there spend 2 weeks and then sail home.  I always hated getting on the plane to leave Kauai, so cruising home is a much better alternative.

We haven't sailed with Princess since 1999 but we did enjoy it then.

  11. You said they had clothes on underneath the bathrobes.  Do you think they had dressed appropriately and just wore the robes on top as a spoof and that is why they were allowed into the dining room.  It just doesn't make sense to me that any Maitre'D would allow such into the MDR if it wasn't a spoof. We liked it when everyone dressed up for the evening and don't really like the new chic way of doing things.  What is chic to one is not to another.

  12. We stayed in that cabin once and someone put a note on the door reminding people not to let it slam.  it worked mostly.  Op, I would keep an eye out for a cancellation of one of the 5 aft cabins.  I would still book one of those in spite of the movie noise.

I believe the M Class spreadsheet is linked in the very first post in that thread. It was edited/updated in September 2020.

That's correct.  All you have to do then is scroll down to the cabin number you are researching.  The ship will be named in an adjacent column.
