  1. Thank you for the detailed trip report and look forward to sailing on NCL in a few weeks. I do have a question,,, Is there any special requirements needed by Bermuda when we board NCL in New York?
  2. I did reach out to Concierge yesterday and we DO get complimentary Breakfast & Lunch at Cagneys as well as Priority embark & Disembark, complimentary sparkling wine and several other things. When in doubt, call and ask directly.
  3. We also just booked the Joy Penthouse suite SC for this May 2024 trip and hope you can help answer some of my questions : Is there Priority embark and Disembark special lines or guides to take us on & off the ship? Is the breakfast & Lunch in Cagneys permitted every day complimentary? Is there anything special sent to the suite? Complimentary wine or champaine ? It seems difficult to find any information on those Penthouse suites, thank you in advance for your help & advice.
  4. I was wondering how to book a cabana too. I don't see an option on NCL
  5. New cruiser here, We booked thru Casinos at Sea for early May and understand there is a Priority Access Line getting on the ship but is there a Priority access line to debark as well? From what I've read it seems like NCL ship Joy is a nightmare with debarking so this is a concern for us. Greatly appreciate any input from those who have experienced this.
  6. Does anyone have pictures of the "revamped vibe beach club" on the Joy? I can't seem to find any.
  7. Poor reviews across the NCL are beginning to sound like the norm for this cruise line sadly. Wish we had researched these reviews before booking on the Joy this May. I'm now beginning to research other cruise lines for next years sailing. Thanks for your review.
  8. Leaveitallbehind, thank you for your reply to my question. Yes, this is my first attempt at bidding and you answered all my questions and some, thank you. We're booked with NCL Joy for this May 5th sailing and I'm happy with the balcony room we chose, so as much as I really would love having the Haven (for which we bid on) for the week and all its perks, I have my limits on what I find logical in terms of the prices they're asking. We added 5 speciality meals pkg, and the vibe, and other up charges which I could have used toward the lowest cost haven along with my now bid and I would almost be at what they are asking for the room. So, if I now go even higher for my bid on a Haven, I'd probably be over mid price bid, which I refuse to do. Honestly, I find it downright nuts to be paying upwards of $9,000 and then some for a week sailing on a ship thats not even the newest, ( no offense to those that have that kind of cash to throw down), its just not in my budget. I wish I did a little more research before booking what looked like a good deal at first but come to see its just not. However, if by some stroke of luck and I am awarded the Haven, we'll be loyal cruisers to this line, if not, I'm moving on to explore other ships. Thank you again for all your help in clarifying this process.
  9. Just wondering if the likely hood of getting an cabin upgrade is better when there are a lot of unsold cabins? I put a bid in on several unsold upgrade cabins awhile ago and mine still show "Pending". Our sailing isn't until Beginning of May so I know there's still time for those to sell but just wondering if anyone has experience with this.
  10. Thank you Gary for the very informative information on the Haven experience. We are contemplating putting in a bid for a haven room. I've heard mixed opinions on getting an upgrade vs. calling the cruise line and requesting an upgrade. Any thoughts ? Thank you in advance.
  11. Presently booked onto this ship for may cruise to Bermuda with a balcony stateroom but wondering if upgrading to a suite for additional $200 is worth it. Can't seem to find much differences. Anyone with any input is greatly appreciated.
