  1. O'Sheehan's has a few breakfast offerings such as Express, Full English, and one that I enjoyed - a brioche w/scrambled egg, ham and cheese (but you could have sausage or bacon on there side if you wanted) plus hash browns. I think pancakes are also on menu. Breakfast on Escape was available there until 11 am. I think that's pretty standard on NCL ships. Then they take about 1/2 hour to shift over to lunch.
  2. They're definitely no longer doing "Choir of Man" in the Supper Club, now that it draws such a big audience so all bookings are in the theater. The new show besides "Choir" is a black light "Attractions" show performed by the winners of "Britain's Got Talent." @Red-SolI also laughed about the name as right now there's no supper. They used to offer 2 entrees from the MDR menu of that night. We only had 1500+ on TA and 1700 on Greek Isles. Entertainment only but excellent! It was rather nice to catch a show in there and then have dinner, especially if the Theater was featuring something I'd already seen. Some nights there were only a dozen of us in the Supper Club but it was never even half full!
  3. Just off Escape. Due to reduced capacity, the Supper Club is not serving dinners so the name is a bit misleading right now. However, every night there's entertainment in there. Adds another whole "show" in addition to the nightly shows in the theater. They had cabaret, duos, the Escape show band, flamenco & tango guitarist, rock band. Lots of variety. Generally starts at 7 pm and lasts about 40 minutes. Tre Amici, 3 singers who performed in the theater, also did a show in the Supper Club. Same with the comedy magician. Will vary depending on your cruise's entertainers. Only a couple of them required reservations. Otherwise, place was not full at all so just take a seat. Full bar service. Enjoyed it a lot.
  4. From what we experienced and were told on Escape (4/25-5/31) those with beverage packages could be served alcohol. but no selling of alcoholic drinks while in Greek ports. No grumbling on the Greek Isles cruise, I guess because most had the package.
  5. @LisaLisa87OT but in answer to your question: Quarantine was in Italy so required 7 days (varies with country) Thank goodness an Oceanview! Agree interior would be tough!
  6. Loving your live review especially all the photos of the Jubilee. Glad the Queen could enjoy the parade but just heard on the news she will miss St. Paul's Cathedral. Hope there's no covid surge after all those people!! Dawn is our sentimental favorite as she came to NYC to homeport in 2003 for year round cruising. They thought NCL was nuts doing cruises in the winter. Fast forward to years of success! Take a look at the t & c of the specialty dining package. It's a myth that there's a limit, except about the entree. Was just on Escape and waiters told guests (rightly so) that we could have unlimited apps, soup, salads, desserts but pls choose 1 entree. They are constantly training and retraining but some waiters still have in their minds wrong info. Looking forward to hearing about your dining experiences. I found the MDR food as well as O'Sheehan's to be tasty and hot. The Blue Plate specials at the pub - such as country fried steak - grilled Alaskan salmon - prime rib embarkation night - are excellent. For Garden Cafe I really only go for the Indian food but the "Oriental Buffet" night had Peking duck, Korean broth w/little neck clams, sushi along with many other items including the special Filipino "ensaimada" pastries. Was pleasantly surprised! Enjoy every minute. Enjoyed Los Lobos as it's only on a couple NCL ships. When they refurbished the Dawn, they got lucky with that one. The Mexican "street" corn is a great accompaniment. Also looking forward to the port reports! Have a great cruise! Was the Hilton Garden Inn at LHR very pricey?
  7. Loved your review and pics - what a photogenic family! Enjoyed especially hearing about Jost van Dyke day. You mentioned only entertainment for theater besides Six and BTF, the comedy magician (doesn't sound like he's in the least bit funny). The Daily lists a Motown concert vocalist. Did you by chance catch his shows? Did you by chance get to Syd Norman's Pour House for the great rock concerts? I was on Breakaway last Sept. and again in Nov. and it was a great hangout although got totally filled up quickly! They are really really good. Just got off Escape and facial recognition worked like a dream, thank goodness. Though we didn't have any issues on Breakaway, it sounds like your cruise was a slow slow process, especially after tendering. Add some hot sun and waits could add to the frustration. Hope your DH recovers soon! I was in quarantine on Escape for 7 days. Hope you continue to be negative!
  8. Just off B2B2B Escape. Unfortunately no Dinner with the Officers. No Behind the Scenes, Wines Around the World Tasting or new (Diamond and Ambassador) perk Mixology Sustainable Class or whatever it is. On Transatlantic, 3 Latitudes parties depending on deck. Only 1510 passengers but just about everybody silver or above I guess. On Greek Isles (only one day at sea, all ports), 1 party for everyone. Drinks, cheeses, senior officers, musician, CN welcome & "pitch", nicely done. Depending on latitudes level, $25 or $50 OBC per cabin as their loyalty gift in lieu of events. The Latitudes letter says stop at the desk for a gift but does not specify what it is. One of the best new things is we got a letter that first dinner voucher for 2 to be used at Cagney's or Le Bistro with wine. The 2nd could be used at any specialty and was treated like SDP terms. In either case, no more surcharge for entrees over $35. NCL apparently listened to the negative feedback from loyal customers who would receive $1.40 or $2.60 type "bills" for their entree overage. With the new specialty entrees, just about everything exceeds $35. The printed vouchers still state up to $35 max but they say the next batch will read differently?! In any event, the only things that would incur a surcharge would be the lobster ($25 surcharge with SDP) and some other items (e.g. Cagney's crab cake app) depending on venue.
  9. Choir of Man can also be booked at the box office. I always stop by there to pick up the whole cruise's entertainment schedule. You can see when Levity Comedy is, any shows that require reservations, etc. and the times/dates. Definitely enjoyed Choir on Escape a couple of weeks ago even though I had seen it before on other ships! Due to covid, guests couldn't go up to the stage to get beer on tap before the show though some roving bar servers brought it to the audience. So if that's part of the experience you want, sit up front!
  10. Thanks for the post and the link as I had missed the other thread. Will be looking into using the Diamond upgrade. When booking a guaranty I generally have had the good luck of getting BB's. What I'm reading here suggests one would be put in BF. Still an upgrade from an Oceanview (or inside to ocvw, etc) but not the prime cabins. Had read somewhere that as long as cruise is booked by end of 2022, it could be for next year, for example. The T & B here say one year "from becoming a Diamond member." Anyone with recent experience on that? Was just on Escape and the Behind the Scenes, Officers Dinner, Wines around the World and new mixology wine Diamond event were not offered. $50 OBC put on a/c instead (per cabin). Happy sails.
  11. Just got off Escape yesterday. Since I was on a B2B2B, experienced this same thing more than once and we were there at 6 am. It is around 7 am that guests start going off who can carry their own luggage. Your transportation company can better advise when you should schedule pickup. I booked NCL's bus to the airport (for guests with flights after 12 noon) I was in the first transfer group, but that was with putting luggage out and picking it up in the terminal. NCL provided complimentary covid testing for those who need to get back into their country. U.S. does. We had testing the day prior to disembark. In most recent case it was Cannes day in the afternoon, 1 day prior to our Civitavecchia disembarkation. Phone call to cabin with results, plus written test results plus email to phone. Testing was in one of the restaurants, well organized. The previous sailing our last port was Livorno and it was the same procedure, different time, same venue.
  12. Still on Escape B2B2B since 4/25. very nice new Latitudes letter saying one coupon is for Le Bistro or Cagney’s for two w/wine. No secret through a hostess or finding out somehow - it’s right there in the letter. The 2nd dinner for two can indeed be used in a specialty except Food Republuc or Pincho Tapas Bar. Very nice touch. $35 gone. They do not state this is due to covid and my impression is this is to stay! To compensate certain perks like Behind the Scenes, Officers Dinner or for Diamond the new mixology class, the letter says to stop by CN desk for a “gift.” Mine was $50 OBC and lower levels were given $25. Pretty sure that’s per cabin. Bubbly is gone.
