  1. Doing pretty good. She see's the doctor later this week and will get her brace shortened. She has had a little pain but not bad. Her wrist is better than my knee that's for sure. Getting it injected tomorrow so hopefully that will get me through the cruise in October.
  2. Thanks to all for your help and suggestions on a charter to JVD and White Bay. Good new! I have sent in a booking form to Chillout Charters for a charter that will pick us up close to the cruise terminal and take us over to Jost Van Dyke, stay with us and bring us back by 2pm for a 3pm all aboard. The cost is obviously more expensive than the Royal excursion but split between 4 couples should be fine. Hoping everything goes smoothly as I usually don't book third party excursions but this had great reviews and they were close to the cruise ship.
  3. Thanks I saw that. I made notes of it and that charter was out of St. Thomas. Yes agreed Fran. Better to be safe my friend.
  4. Thank you so much. I did hear back from one company here is there reply. This may work out for us. 5. @jmh2006 Contacted Royal and was told the vendor had cancelled a months worth of excursions so it must be something else. I looked at Rebel Yell but there seems to be nothing available for that date.
  6. Yes I am really upset about this. We obviously will still go but it stinks that I've been trying to get to JVD for over 5 years now.
  7. Time to vent and rant. I AM SO MAD AND UPSET. When I got this email from Royal. This excursion was the sole reason I booked this cruise I have tried to go to JVD on two different Royal cruises. The first one the whole cruise got cancelled due to the pandemic. Now this excursion is cancelled due to the vendor cancelling it. I am on this cruise with @jmh2006, @Husky1987, @Momof3gurlz and @mo&fran and we all booked this excursion. Now we are trying to see if we can book a charter boat to take us. The problems we have are the fact the ship is only in Tortola from 7am-3am. So time is of an essence. No time for Ferries, No time to taxi to the West End Tortola to pick up a boat we must find one out of Road Town and we must have the boat stay with us for 3-4 hours and take us back. Researching now. I hope we can find something. I've got two emails out to companies and waiting to hear back. As Captain Lee would say, "I'm madder than a pissed on chicken."
  8. Forgot to take pictures of our really fun Tiki Patio Party last Saturday night with 3 other neighborhood close couples. I did take a video of the outdoor lighting I did to enhance the mood. You can’t hear it well but I did have a tiki music playlist playing exotica from Martin Denny and Les Baxter. Also not seen was a tv that was playing a 3 hour video loop of famous tiki bars, and Polynesian pop images. Here is the video. You can skip around as the first two images are very long. I also made up a batch of a tiki cocktail called the Monkey’s Eyebrow in my new Sea Dog Tiki Bar engraved bottle. It has a mermaid on the front with lettering on the back that says Sea Dog Tiki Bar.
  9. Thanks for your comments. Maybe we will stick with Royal excursions to avoid the heavy sales. I hate that they do that. I know they are trying to make a living but aggressive tactics will never work. I hope with the drink package that the cocktails in the Bamboo Room will be covered and not extra.
  10. Yes it’s a 7 nighter. I like Voyager class. I’ve seen the drone show before it’s really cool. Have you tried the Bamboo Room tiki bar? If so how was it. I really like the Tiki bar theme and cocktails.
  11. I looked through my pictures. The museum in Amsterdam that I went to was the Rijksmuseum that houses art by Van Gough and Rembrandt. It is right by the downtown. https://www.rijksmuseum.nl/en/visit#:~:text=This iconic museum in the,Rembrandt%2C Vermeer and Van Gogh.
  12. @FromSea2ShiningSea Loving the beautiful pictures Helen. I love that city. I forget the name but there is a fantastic art museum that houses a lot of great impression works of art. @harryfat1 How is Navigator? How is the food? We will sail on her in October of 2024.
  13. Same for me and my sciatic nerve. I have to stretch it out or I’m in pain in the sitting position. Have a great trip.
  14. @mo&fran I talked to my friend who went through what you are going through email me with your email and I will tell you what he told me at gpsteele7 at g mail dot com
  15. I was never good at math and dropped my calculus class as I could never understand anything. Now mind you I can write an orchestral music score but math has never been my strong suit.
  16. So last night we watched this week’s episode of Below Deck Down Under. I had heard through social media and even some national News stories on what happened so I knew going into it what was going to happen. I guess that’s the problem with watching the show later than it’s airdate. All I can say is WOW! What an intense episode. I am really happy how Captain Jason and Aiesha handled everything. Kudos to the producer who is supposed to stay out of sight and not interfere do the opposite. Do I think Luke is a serial rapist? No but what he did was so over the line he deserved to be fired. I never liked Laura from day one. Her arrogance and self entitlement was nauseating. Hopefully Gary from BD Sailing was watching. He is just about as bad or maybe worse than Luke in crossing the line for sexual harassment. Not too excited while watching the preview of the second half of the season to see Jao come onboard. I don’t care for him either. And why is he coming in as a bosom? I thought he got his Captains license?
  17. @Luckynana I know it’s not Tuesday yet but I will wish pre birthday wishes for you to have a great celebration.
