Thank ye me mate fer that there eloquent post!!!! One minute everything is great and one minute stuff stalls out. I think you are right in that they are still testing. I will say anything is an improvement. Still very painful if I move my arm around. As long as I'm in the sling it's not too bad. Thanks for your concern.

Sail Away Video. Here is our sail away video shot on the new Go Pro 11 Hero. Shot in 4K and edited through the GoPro app. I’ll try to post the original longer video if I can get it uploaded. Keeps stalling out. Come on Star Link.

7am and I’m wide awake. I slept pretty good considering if I move too much my shoulder really hurts. A couple of weird things to share. When I fainted or blacked out (can’t remember) obviously I hit the floor pretty hard resulting in a trip to the ER and a broken collarbone. Weird thing is one of toes is black and blue. Sorry for the gross pic. and I have a small cut on the side of my head. This explains why the ER doc wanted to do a Cat Scan of my head to make sure there was no bleeding on the brain. I know kinda scary. I feel very fortunate it could have been way worse. I have no idea why my toe is this way or what I might have cut my head on. Linda made the right call after I came to and did not know where I was and what we were doing to go to the ER. Thank God I gave good insurance. Can you imagine the cost if this happened on the ship? Current position at 18.5 knots. Looks like it’s going to be a beautiful sea day.

Linda and talked about this and yes you are right. I need to take it easy on all accounts and let my body heal. It doesn’t hurt in the sling sitting down. But boy when I try and take my shirt off, not fun. I was planning on hitting the gym everyday on this cruise, not now. Thank you for your advice and concern.

Dinner in the MDR Nothing better than starting out Night one Dinner in the MDR with a window seat and a Old Fashioned. Waiter Eka from Indonesia and Dwayne from Jamaica (15 years with Royal) were great at our window table side. Starters were my standard Escargot ( garlic butter great for bread dipping) and a shrimp cocktail (sorry no pic) and entree Prime Rib (sorry no wide I started eating) with a side of Spaghetti Bolognese. Everything tasted great and was hot. Desert warm hazelnut cake and an espresso to wake me up. Dinner was more than an hour and a half but I don’t mind. I like leisurely dinners. First night in the MDR and I am very pleased. I’m happy that we made reservations every night for this same table and wait staff.

Yes we are planning on that. She has a great balcony. We both snore so even though we brought the Bose Sleep buds to drown each other out we may sleep separately. We are old and married, no big deal anymore. 😘 Except for our 25th anniversary night.

Where’s a Playmaker’s when you need one. Couldn’t find a place showing Chiefs/Bills game so we got some cocktails and watching it in Linda’s room. Which also serves as our sail away view on the aft balcony. Good luck @bobmacliberty I think you will get the best of the Chiefs today but you will prevail. You have the better team this year.

Rooms! As solo I always defer to the Mrs. Linda gets the Balcony cabin 9404 with it’s great aft balcony. I think there is room to mount a go pro safely! Me in my he cheap Suite but actually a nice inside cabin right around the corner from Linda. Nice closet for storage. No usb outlets but I knew that coming in. Plenty adapters that I have.

Windjammer Lunch. Food was actually pretty good but I’m sorry I didn’t take food pic. Nice welcome cake. Got there at the right time before it got too crowded. Not pictured but the chocolate bar and Orio cheesecake was delicious. Muster complete next up room availability in just a few minutes.

We are on Board at 11:00. Sling and all. Beautiful ship even if a little old. An old fashioned in the “R” Bar. Now they say everything is big in Texas except the liquor laws on Day 1. Because of Texas’s liquor laws they have a limited selection of alcohol. So I had a very weak old fashioned with a bourbon I’d never heard of JT’s Brown???? So around 6pm they will open up the full bar. I think the Texas liquor laws are stupid but I have to live with it. I’m still a happy camper.
