If P&O adopted the approach that Cunard does with Britannia Club and grills guests, and had a separate dining room where you have your own dedicated table for your sole use for ALL meals and an enhanced dinner menu with additional a’la carte options, then we might consider using suites again.

Completely agree with this, possibly tweek it slightly that you could eat in any of the paid for restaurants.

  2. We are just about to cancel a couple of bookings In Epicurean so keep looking. Done it twice and both times some idiots decide to have a full on loud FaceTime. Why?? Would you do this in a restaurant at home?? Do you have no consideration for other guests?? If you are one of these people I’d love to know why you feel it necessary to have volume higher and talk louder than you would normally. Complained but didn’t really seem to care.

  3. Is that some people can’t seem to go without having a loud phone or video call!

Now I’m quite a heavy internet user so Starlink has been great for us but surely people would have the common sense to  have their calls away from relaxing areas?

Perhaps cruise lines need to follow airlines and say as a courtesy to fellow passengers no calls?

    Rant over!

Got off Queen Elizabeth this morning and the person with the most number of nights had done over 3,000 but I can’t remember exactly how many it was.

That’s the one I was on, it was 3011 and as they are still on board, still rising!!

  5. Having been surprised last month at the world club party at someone having been on board 2732 nights, I was further staggered this cruise by a couple having 3011 nights on board including 22 world cruises!

Thought it might be fun to add most nights at club world parties as we attend them.

Hi, just bear in mind if uk booking the deposit increases to the standard percentage you move the cruise you booked on board.  Also you have to book within a year. In our case we weren’t told about either when on board.  The date issue is extra annoying as we had two further cruises booked in the year already so wanted to move it by 15 months. I am still thinking about what to do about this?

When the extra on board spend came about a couple of months ago I did a three way change! This might be a possibility for you? It only has to be slightly more expensive so if you moved up a grade on one booking then move that deposit forward?

  7. The restaurant is the difference and in my opinion it’s the best layout of a restaurant on Cunard, lots of space between tables. Another advantage of club rooms is we find we can book a saver fare as there’s not much point in selecting rooms as they are all very central (certainly this is the case on QV & QE).
