On the steamers on the Promenade deck it's toasty in the sun, on the starboard side people were wrapped in blankets. Inside it varies, It's been chilly in the Winter Garden when it's cold outside, in the PG dining room it's perfect for me, but some of the ladies, Jane included, were saying it was warm.

That’s interesting, was on board last week and it was a bit cool in PG, most ladies had coverings on and even the maitre D thought it was a bit chilly, perhaps they’ve upped the temp. Wonderful team in there, made the trip.

We had a half bottle on our recent cruise on the QM2 and then to our delight/dismay (delete as applicable) halfway through the trip another half bottle appeared!!!

We’ve just had a half bottle appear, no note or anything, just appeared on the bar! Did you have a note?

My QE trip next year is $20 or $15, with no $14.25 option. Maybe there is some local taxation issues involved here.

Think I’ve worked it out, it says there are discounts for voyages of 16 days or more.

I’m sure many world cruises are indeed once in a life time. But Cunard do have an awful lot of repeat passengers, so it would be nice if on shorter cruises they could come up with a few new ports. QE has just been in Naples, but how often does that appear on a cruise starting at Southampton, for instance?

You’re certainly correct about repeat passengers, just announced at the WC party someone on board with 2734 days on board😳 That’s 7.5 years!!!!

  5. Not wanting to rock the boat but, perhaps you need to consider that you (and I to a lesser extent) are in a very privileged position in having been to those ports many times. Most people that are fortunate enough to be able to embark on a world cruise or for that matter any cruise with Cunard would actually want to go to the “standard” regular ports as it is likely a once in a lifetime trip. Just my two penneth.

  7. Assuming it’s the same as Azura then there are no indoor areas to the retreat. Some parts of it are undercover but not much. I’d wait until you get up there to check it out. If it is bad weather then you might get a deal anyway if not many people want to use it. Because it’s at the front of the ship, if the weather is bad it can be quite chilly up there too.

Well, I don't think they will be allocated a sharing table, because, as my son told me, mostly it's tables for 2.

We only travel QG and always have a table for 2.

But some of the tables for 2 are quite frankly not! Less than 10 inches between tables I don’t class as separate tables!
