Did you happen to notice what the current extra on board spend/deposits are at the future cruise desk? On board next week so might be tempted!

The commonly heard term for the Princess Medallion app is, "wonky."
Perhaps I should give it a go!

On the steamers on the Promenade deck it's toasty in the sun, on the starboard side people were wrapped in blankets. Inside it varies, It's been chilly in the Winter Garden when it's cold outside, in the PG dining room it's perfect for me, but some of the ladies, Jane included, were saying it was warm.
That’s interesting, was on board last week and it was a bit cool in PG, most ladies had coverings on and even the maitre D thought it was a bit chilly, perhaps they’ve upped the temp. Wonderful team in there, made the trip.

We had a half bottle on our recent cruise on the QM2 and then to our delight/dismay (delete as applicable) halfway through the trip another half bottle appeared!!!
We’ve just had a half bottle appear, no note or anything, just appeared on the bar! Did you have a note?

My QE trip next year is $20 or $15, with no $14.25 option. Maybe there is some local taxation issues involved here.
Think I’ve worked it out, it says there are discounts for voyages of 16 days or more.

Bizarrely just checked a couple of cruises I’ve got coming up on QE and it’s $14.25 per day!?!?!

I’m sure many world cruises are indeed once in a life time. But Cunard do have an awful lot of repeat passengers, so it would be nice if on shorter cruises they could come up with a few new ports. QE has just been in Naples, but how often does that appear on a cruise starting at Southampton, for instance? You’re certainly correct about repeat passengers, just announced at the WC party someone on board with 2734 days on board😳 That’s 7.5 years!!!!

I mentioned this on the QV wifi thread the other day. Which ship are you on and is it the same dates for the sale? Wondering if it’s going to be on QE next month.

Full bottle of “Grand Imperial” in PG this week.

Not wanting to rock the boat but, perhaps you need to consider that you (and I to a lesser extent) are in a very privileged position in having been to those ports many times. Most people that are fortunate enough to be able to embark on a world cruise or for that matter any cruise with Cunard would actually want to go to the “standard” regular ports as it is likely a once in a lifetime trip. Just my two penneth.

Just boarded QV and more good news on the wifi. Introductory offer on Starlink from 18 Sep to 30 Nov essentials plan is back to $15 per day on voyage plan and premium $20 and CWC credits DO work with the deal👍

Assuming it’s the same as Azura then there are no indoor areas to the retreat. Some parts of it are undercover but not much. I’d wait until you get up there to check it out. If it is bad weather then you might get a deal anyway if not many people want to use it. Because it’s at the front of the ship, if the weather is bad it can be quite chilly up there too.

Us too for our July 2024 crossing. I am thinking of purchasing the package NOW, for that cruise to reserve the lower price......
Look further up the thread, it looks like the price rise is only for shorter cruises.

How’s the wifi? Is QE the last to get Starlink I wonder? From the other posts it sounds like QV will hopefully have it this month.

Blimey Major, think maybe you haven’t been out for a while. I live in Southampton and although you can get a cheap beer in student bars or ‘Spoons most nice bars will be more than £6 now. And no sea view!

However was informed by the onboard sales folks that QV will be using Starlink by mid month, the fiber optic cables are in and just waiting for the new satellite transmitter.
Great news! We board on the 19th so will update. Anyone experienced Starlink on QM2?

Could you let us know what films are being shown please? Wondering how up to date they are?

Having only experienced all categories on the Vistas I think the Club dining is the best experience. Certainly as far as space between tables and service. I would be a complete covert if club had a dedicated outside space.

Well, I don't think they will be allocated a sharing table, because, as my son told me, mostly it's tables for 2.
We only travel QG and always have a table for 2.
But some of the tables for 2 are quite frankly not! Less than 10 inches between tables I don’t class as separate tables!

Any reason for the late arrival or is it meant to be this time?
