  1. Cabin Number: 7090 Ship: Quest Month/Year Sailed February 2024 Would you choose this cabin again: Yes Is noise an issue: No Balcony size: Standard Any other comments: Nice location towards center of ship and just a few cabins from the elevators
  2. No, we had them ad a place called the Waterfront, near the pier. They were excellent too!
  3. We had fish and chips in port so the menu in the MDR did not appeal. Went to Prime C on the off chance that they could fit us in without a reservation and it was easily done. So had a lovely meal there and calling it an early night.
  4. Had a great private tour from Port Stanley today (just 4 of us) to Bertha’s Beach to see Gentoo Penguins and then to Gypsy Cove, where we saw molting Magellanic Penguins. Then a little tour of the town. Falkland Outdoors, a great little family run operation - highly recommend. Before we left Bertha’s Beach, there were 2 stranded passengers from an Azamara tour that had left without them! The wardens were working to get them back to town. The weather was very changeable - some sun, some rain, some blustery wind. Bought some local gin, among other souvenirs!
  5. Quite agree about the pianist in the Den. It is especially driving my DH nuts, who has a low tolerance for these things.
  6. Room service breakfast today and happy to report to those to whom it matters, that they are adding a lot more plant based options. I had checked off the plant based sausage, however, and they substituted the plant based bacon, which was pretty bad! At least they are trying!
  7. I have a private excursion booked with Falkland Outdoors, which seems like a reputable company. I will report back!
  8. Guest Relations reported to me that I could get an upgrade on my beverage package from premium to ultimate for the $8 difference, less my 15% Discoverer loyalty discount. When I went to the Spirits bar to make the upgrade, they said they couldn’t apply the discount. When I pushed, he checked with his supervisor, and the discount was applied!
  9. Thanks for the wonderful pictures of the Azamazing Evening, @uktog. It was really a fun event! Back on the ship, we had late bites in the Living Room, with a great jazz band, Musiq4Soul. I usually can’t drag my Andrew up there, but he loved it 😊. A sea day today, and the captain is predicting calm seas all the way to the Falklands.
  10. Just finished an Azamara excursion to a vineyard outside of Montevideo - cooking class with wine. Only six of us and we had a private experience with the vineyard owner, a charming woman, with her two young children helping out. SO much food. We made empanadas and while those were cooking, had baked provolone, sausages, bread and wine. Very full after that, but then we went taken inside and a big platter of beef and vegetables appeared! Along with salad and more wine. Finished off with flan. Oof. Wonderful time. Good job, Azamara!
  11. Forgot to mention that the CC Meet & Mingle was held at 4:00 pm in the Drawing Room, an hour before sail away. Mimosas and sparkling wine were served, as well as small bites. Very nice. I think there were about 12 of us.
  12. Also, re wines: there were 3 choices of included whites and reds, which is a nice change. I had the Chardonnay, which wasn’t bad. There also seems to be a lot more plant based options on the menu.
  13. I found some some wine to love too! And the vermouth hit the spot with a splash of soda water! And the gelato at the end!
  14. See you soon in warm and sunny 😎 Buenos Aires!
  15. That’s great! And a little disturbing that there isn’t more consistency.
  16. It is my understanding that if the B2Bs are under the same booking number, the OBC will carry over. That’s what I was told re by B2Bs next fall.
  17. Maybe. I bought both pre cruise at the old prices.
