I loved my visit to Saint John, NB last October. My friends and I wandered around town to see the sights, and on the way back we wanted to get a bit of lunch. Because it was a Sunday, most of the restaurants on the way back to the ship were packed. Finally we stopped at one & after a short wait, we were seated along with a nice couple from Montreal. Amazing as it seems, we had been in Canada for almost two weeks, and I still hadn't tried poutine! This was my last chance. They had a full size dinner portion on the menu, but we wanted something smaller. After explaining the problem to our server, she went back to the kitchen, talked to the chef, and reappeared with a smaller plate of poutine -- on the house! Another example of the kindness of Canadians! BTW - I loved it! My friends, not so much. Ah well -more for me!!

Thank you for all the birthday wishes! My Dsis sent me a beautiful bouquet with peonies, hyacinths, tulips and other flowers that I can't name. A very unusual arrangement! A former neighbor took me to lunch yesterday and my BFF is taking me out a week from Friday. (It didn't seem right to go out this Friday - Good Friday.) My DS is taking me to see Mickey Dolenz this evening - the last surviving member of the Monkees. I think DS is more excited about this than I am, but I'm happy to go along! The sun is shining, it's warm... could Spring finally be here? Stay safe, healthy and happy, dear friends! Edi

What time is the Rotterdam scheduled to leave tomorrow?

Happy Palm Sunday, Dailyites! I got my palms leaves after the service this morning & placed them on the mirrors in the house. A family tradition, which I was told was a German custom which is supposed to bring good luck. Does anyone else do this?

Rabbit, Rabbit, white rabbit! Happy April, and try not to be anyone's fool today! I've always thought April was a good month -- my bday is the 5th & Dsis is on the 21st. A busy day today - first a funeral lunch to serve, then getting ready for Palm Sunday. The rain has already started and should be followed by high winds. What fun! But it should warm up after the storms move through. Stay safe, well, and happy, everyone!
