We were on RCLL in Japan recently and missed two ports because of the really bad weather and we received our port fees etc back together with excursion fees. They warned us that the wifi near Hong Kong would not be the best, It still worked but not the best. We received two day’s compensation for that. Was very happy with how we were treated.

Just came back from RC cruise from Tokyo to Singapore. Was surprised that the prices for drinks were quite reasonable, compared with the RC cruises in Oz. not the drinks package. I do not know if it was because there were a lot of Asian on board and I got the impression that they are not big drinkers. Saw the big Fosters cans there but there was a lot of Aussies on the cruise and they ran out of them, Us being Diamond and soon to be D+ makes an enormous difference for us. no drinks bill at all. They also left lots of bottles of water in our cabin and $10 of a bag of washing. Free Wifi for a day each. really I wonder if any other brand matches this. eileen Eileen

Hi you would think if you were innocent and kept for a considerable time you should be given a voucher for your return home. it is surely not your fault. Especially as it seems you were a specific expertise. puts you of travelling. Eileen

I think you made a valid point. Reading price. I think it is cheaper now than P and O and I have read on CC that you have now to pay for various things, like the Shows? You get what you pay for but given if you want to cruise in Oz in winter, there is not much choice.

I always take my own shampoo and conditioner no matter which ship.

Hi i have read your review and thank you for that, it is appreciated . I was also on Carnival legend years ago. we have come back from an overseas cruise but had all sorts of trouble with the flights. It was booked through a travel agent as a package (I usually book everything myself) but this seemed very good, got to the airport and found that because our airline had changed the flight the agent had not advised us of the new ticket numbers and ofcourse this was code share so we had to ring the agent to get more information, standing at the airport waiting on a call back was not a good start. I am glad it was not a weekend or after hours! Same coming home from Europe flights changed and trouble. anyway for that reason we are not going far next winter and have booked two on Carnival. We realise it is not a luxury cruise line but I don’t want to spend all winter in Melbourne! Also the Olympic Games are in Paris next year. I think airfares etc will be extremely high. the South Pacific islands sound good. actually you did say some good points about the cruise and I have taken them and will enjoy the cruises. we were on Azamara this year. Drinks were basic even though they were supposed to be premium. I think all the cruises have cut back on things. Cabins are only serviced once a day. Happy on RCL as we are diamond and get 4 free drinks a day each, that is enough for us. anyway sometimes cruises are just to get meals made and no cleaning to be done, eileen

We have just come back from an Azamara cruise in Europe where wines are included. We had the premium package. What do we get a terrible very yellow Chilean Chardonnay which I think probably cost them $2 a bottle. It was undrinkable. on our Azamara Christmas cruise from Fremantle to Sydney they actually ran out of red wine! They just do not understand Australia tastes. They had to go to Dan Murphy and buy some. Australians very happy, even the cheapest was better than what they had originally. But there were lots of complaints! the Captain was seen leaving Dan Murphy’s with a load of wine for himself..what does that tell you!,!

Hi thanks for that. I took the smallest size on my IPad as it said no more than 2gbits. we are only 2 days on a RCL cruise from Tokyo to singapore. A lot of trouble for such a short time

Hi help required please! I have to send a photo of myself and also a photo of the page of my passport, for a evisa for vietnam. took them with my iPad and sent them off. I have been advised that the pixels are not good enough. ofcourse I have paid the fee. Have now been asked to redo the photos. I tried previously but they told me that the photos had too many gigs!! how should I take photos and upload them.? eileen

Just checked $51 for our 5 day cruise from Brisbane. No sure what it was for but happy with that.🥳

Not so many people in the diamond lounge now but free drinks are really good. Coffee machine in the diamond lounge terrific during the day. no drinks bill makes a difference. Enjoy!🍷 Eileen

Ha ha…you have obviously never been on a balcony on Azamara quest. It is tiny and Azamara is not the cheaper cruise around. We got a shock especially as we are not large people. Some of the people would have trouble getting into these showers.🥶

Hi again, just went in to our Christmas booking from Melbourne to Sydney return and you are correct. Obviously a cruise from Oz flights are treated as they treat US clients. Thanks for the information. I will again checked my cruise from Singapore to see if that has changed. Eileen

Hi i am doing a cruise with celebrity and also found a good price so went the point of booking it because it said payment was not due until the cruise final payment. But then it said this was only for US and Canadian clients. This was for a cruise out of Singapore. Maybe this made a difference! Hope I am wrong! Eileen

We are just back from a 5 day cruise on Quantum out of Brisbane. thanks to CC we also stayed at Kingsford Smith motel. Very pleasant. we used their free shuttle to the BICT and found the driver pleasant and informative. we could not believe how easy it was to board. plenty staff and quick. We had a 11.00 time but we’re on by 10.30. eileen

Chilli Another question, We are on Quantum and no nightly turndown or cabin cleaned. Is this all RC ships or only our 5 day trip from Brisbane to Airlie Beach ? cutting costs? Eileen

On Quantum on a 5 day cruise. Medvac this morning..Helicopter flying in. I have been on many cruises and have never heard of so many Medivacs. Chilli…when does the next lot of RC cruises come out? thanks Eileen

We took our family on Celebrity at Christmas cruise prior to Covid and they had a lovely time, Our next cruise on our own was on Ovation and we really thought it was more suitable for them. We wished we had taken them on that one instead. lots for kids to do. Eileen

If you look at Carnival, RCL, and Princess they all say you should have had your vaccine at least 14 days prior to cruising. They also refer to 7 days with boosters. I am not good at copying the links or I would.

On the documentation supplied it advises that you should not have a vaccination 14 days before you go on a cruise. I think it may be that you might show up as having Covid in your system, even though you have not got Covid.

Hi we have done 4 cruises, including a 14 day one in Europe, and are on one from Brisbane for a 5 day one on Sunday. we have used masks in the theatre and will use them on the plane to Brisbane. I just keep thinking it is just a matter of time! We have had 4 jabs and would have had the 5th but you are not allowed to have a job within 14 days of the cruise, We will get it when we get back. friends , who were on a cruise with us at Christmas, have got Covid the day they got home from a 9 day cruise. Why is life not easy for us lovely people who just want to cruise?. We add to the economy but wait they want the economy to slow!! In my last years I just want to have a few easy holidays with my meals cooked, my bed made and my shower cleaned! is it too much to ask 🤣😎❤️ Eileen
