  1. We opted to hang out until as late as possible (we actually were kicked out of our room at 830 lol). The ship docked later than it was supposed to, but people who had luggage pick up times (ie, in the terminal ) between 800 and 830 weren't getting them until almost an hour later. Royal isn't necessarily at fault here, but as there are a lot of moving parts and I for one wouldn't want to be running for the terminal, I'd give myself as much time as possible.
  2. As someone who just got off the Oasis yesterday... Give yourself as much time as possible. We did self assist and got in line at 835a. We didn't walk out of the Customs terminal until 9:55. The lines were crazy to get off, and one of the escalators broke creating a nightmare. The ones who had their luggage taken and put in the terminal at pre determined times still had to wait in line like the rest of us. Overall it was a mess, so just make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get off and get to the airport.
  3. Thanks. I'll look and see where the restaurants are on the ship and B line it to them.
  4. Only unhappy with the non answer the CS provided and couldn't give any answer as to why (even when their website told us to call). If we were told it's booked, or the promo has ended, this thread would have never been made. 🙂
  5. Please quote me where I said it's RCs fault that I couldn't book anything. You and others have stated such, but I have not. Even some posters have pointed out to others that I have never said RC was at fault for waiting to the last minute. The issue was never that. Thanks for the rest of your post.
  6. The silver lining, if possible, is we don't want UDP. Just one or two nights.
  7. Full retail price vs not being able to book is a insignificant at this point.
  8. Then they could have said so? Rather than giving a non answer answer? "We're sorry that this is an inconvenience to you. At this time I am showing that the packages were all sold out. " Hell, I'd even take "You two are late to the table. Too bad, but the packages are sold out"
  9. Oh, I (not sure about the other half) am. But I expected better from RCL, but as you said, lesson learned.
  10. Back story: We are traveling with another family and their extended family starting this weekend. We already pre-booked our beverage package, but were waiting till the other family made their decision on the dining package. They ended up not doing any sort of dining package (but waited to the last minute) so we logged in last night with about an hour plus to spare (according to their countdown timer) to purchase and make reservations. The 'reserve' button was greyed out and we were told to call. We called, and even though it stated on the website we still had over 45 minutes left to pay and book we were told "Not available". Even when it was pointed out, the person on the phone seemed unmoved and didn't explain WHY, just that we couldn't. It was a bit annoying, even if we were told that all the reservations were booked we would be a bit understanding as people were making the final dash to get their reservations. As per the website this AM, it says we have to wait till we board to make any reservations for specialty dining. I guess the customer service desk will be our first destination post-boarding.... Bit annoyed. As long time NCL travelers, we opted for RC as that was what our friends requested. We shall see how we are treated on board after we speak with the customer service reps.
  11. First timer on RC. Before, I (we) always did Norwegian. The wife and I aren't huge drinkers, but we will drink seltzer (soda water) and the occasional diet beverage. Hard drinks? Not so much. Are any of the drink packages worth it, or should we just pay as we go? Any advice? I am not sure of the price per all the drinks, and maybe someone could point me to that direction and we can make a better decision? Thanks.
