There needs to be more benefits for gold members. Platinum and Diamond members are doing just fine.

Right?  I just realized recently I will be Gold after next cruise.  I was all excited and went and looked- unless I'm missing something I get a pin-didn't see anything else......so really whats the point. Don't fake me out like that Carnival! lol  And for the people saying No-why the heck do you care if they give Gold members another perk or two.  That would just be horrible for you wouldn't it if they gave us TWO bottles of water instead of 1?

We are just off the Horizon (NYE Sailing). It was our first time as platinum. Our check in time was 11:30. Our UBER dropped us at the port at 11:15. We were through the check-in process and in our cabin at 11:30. Our luggage arrived in the cabin by noon. It was the fastest and easiest embarkation ever. Carnival really has this part down.

Awesome-did you have FTTF?  I was thinking I'd be lugging around my carry on until 1:30 when the room was ready.

Hmmm.... I would have liked to have played on those machines.....   Which ship. and machine were you playing?

As I posted earlier... most slots return less than 60% in my experience.   Yes, the machines can be set for higher odds,  but it would probably only be on a select few,  unless the Casino was the loosest on the Sea!   Then it would go out of business.....:classic_unsure:

Actually-83% would actually be considered very low payout.  Many casinos advertise 90ish % payout.  I believe it's regulated is some states-guessing those regulations don't apply to cruise ships tho.  Don't get me wrong-if you're not a gambler-theres no reason to try this approach.  I just think Moviela's math is good-however even if it's set at 90%-it doesn't mean you're guaranteed 90% as that's just an average of course.  That's why it's called gambling of course!

Hi! Headed out Jan 20th 2019 on the Carnival Horizon and I was wondering if there is any way to get the Main Dining Room menus for each night of the Carnival Horizon 6-day Western Caribbean sailing ahead of time? I would like to book specialty dining but also not miss my favorite "cruise foods" served in the main dining room!

I'm looking for the same, and have been watching! Even just to know what night the formal dinners are would be great as we made reservations to Bonsai on we "think" is the second formal night . I've gotten 2 different answers from Carnival.  Happy sailing!

I've been in your shoes-I missed a cruise probably 10 yrs ago now and it still sucks thinking about it!  However I learned a ton from it (don't prepay anything you don't have to), and I'm sure you did as well.  You will most likely get your port fees back (at least I did back then)-use it to start a cruise or honeymoon fund.  Watch for deals and you might get a honeymoon sooner than you think! If you can be flexible, there are sometimes amazing deals to be found.

  6. I've cruised before but never with the kids and the pricing has me a bit confused. I'm seeing it's not a whole lot more to get them their own room vs in cabin with us but am I missing something? It seems if I book separately 1 adult/1 child in a room on a single reservation (x2), it is a lot cheaper than if I book 2 rooms with 2 adults and 2 children on the same reservation. The room types were the same on both reservations. Is this real or am I doing something wrong?
