Thanks for taking us along on your cruise. We are excited to be cruising again on the NS in January. Any feedback on the rock room band? Did you listen to any of their performances? That is our favorite music venue.

Thanks for the posts. I guess we may be listening to the BB King group more on our upcoming January sailing. On past sailings, the musicians and singers in the Rock Room Band were so wonderful, we watched and listened to 2 sets of the band's performances every night they performed.

Thank you very much for sharing your recent experience listening to the Rock Room Band. I hope the female vocalist improves or maybe there will be a new one in January. On the NS in February 2023, the band, including the female vocalist and all the band members who sang were phenomenal. Glad you had a great waiter from the bar.

We are sailing on the NS on January 21st. This will be our 3rd sailing on this ship and it is our favorite of all the ships we have sailed on. Our favorite entertainment venue on the ship is listening to the Rock Room Band. Would appreciate any feedback on the current Rock band from those who have sailed recently on the NS. How is the rock band? How much longer will they be on the NS (if you know). We have had an outstanding group of singers and musicians on the 2 sailings we have been on so far. One outstanding singer and guitar player was Thomas from Atlanta. He was in the band on both our prior sailings and he is excellent. Thanks for any feedback from recent sailings. We are looking forward to another great rock band.

We have sailed on the Nieuw Statendam twice. It is our favorite ship that we have sailed so far. I did not have the Navigator App. It will not download on my phone. Both times, I did the on line check in and printed our luggage tags and boarding passes through the HAL website. No problem at all. For your second sailing, maybe customer service will help you print your docs. on the ship.

How do you find your Booking Confirmation on the Holland Ametica website? We booked through a travel agent. Can I access it when I am logged in on HAL's website? I don't see it. We also purchased Club Orange. Thanks in advance.

We stayed on the main deck in an Oceanview forward cabin the end of Feb. on NS. I agree, it was a great location and very quiet. Hopefully, we will like being on Deck 7.

I would like to see if my AARP $50 obc now shows on the summary for my January cruise. My booking summary through the travel agent does not show the credit. Thanks.

Thank you and Haljo1935 for the suggestion of purchasing Club Orange. I decided to do it and we got upgraded to an unobstructed balcony on Deck 7 in the forward section of the ship. My husband and I are looking forward to being able to dine in the Club Orange Dining Room and I am looking forward to enjoying the balcony. Thanks for letting me know about Club Orange.

How is the Rock Room Band? The one we saw at the end of February on NS was outstanding.

Thanks for your input. I agree. We don't spend much time in our cabin. I did book Betoveen Deck, Cabin 4134. I will be happy to be able to go outside and get some fresh air and have natural light. Last time we sailed on NS we were in an Oceanview cabin, so this is definitely an upgraded cabin for us.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Would Cabin 4099, 4101,4103 or 4105 be a better choice in your opinion? Maybe a bit less obstruction due to being by a lifeboat instead of a tender? The cabins are in the same class as 4134. I would like a little less obstruction, if possible. I will be happy to be able to sit outside and see some ocean. We have sailed twice before on Nieuw Statendam. Once we stayed in an inside cabin and once in an oceanview cabin. Thanks again for everyone's input!

Thank you both for your input on this potential cabin choice and the suggestion of adding Club Orange, if available. We have not done that before and I was not aware of potentially getting a better balcony cabin with that, as well. This would be for a 7 day Western Caribbean cruise.

Thinking of booking cabin 4134 Beethoven Deck - obstructed balcony. I know it's obstructed by a tender or lifeboat. Has anyone stayed in this cabin or near it? If yes, would you book it again? Do you get some view of the water? Quiet location? I have searched Halfacts and reviews, but still am wondering if it is an OK choice? It is about $500 more pp to get an unobstructed balcony cabin on deck 8 or similar. And about $200 pp less for an inside. Thoughts, please?

We were on the NS February 25th sailing out of Port Everglades. We were assigned a 1:20 p.m. boarding time for 3 pm sailing. We arrived around 11:00 a.m. (we needed to return our rental car by 11 a.m.) We were given a boarding group card after we checked in at the pier. We were able to board as soon as our group was called which was shortly after 11 30 a.m.

We were on the NS 2/25 sailing. The happy hour 25% drink special at 3 to 4 pm did not entice me to have a drink at that time of day. We did purchase drinks in the evening while listening to music. Margaritas were served in very small glasses (not resembling a normal margarita glass) and I tasted very little alcohol in them.

We sailed on NS in cabin 1024 (deck 1) and felt very little movement of the ship. Southern Caribbean 2/25 sailing.

How was the Rock Room Band? We were on the NS February 25th sailing and the band was outstanding. It was their last week of their contract, so I am wondering about the new band. Thanks.

There is an app. called Shipmate. You can add your cruise under my cruises and click on the tab/button for notify of price change. I believe you will be notified by email by a price change.

Internet is pricier than Princess Cruises. Princess is $5 per day for 1 device (at a time) if you are Platinum or Elite. $10 a day if you are not Platinum or Elite. Considering the cost of Internet on Holland, we plan to do without it for a week. Can you access Internet for free at Half Moon Cay?

I do not get an error message. When I click on Flight Ease - check flights on Holland's website when I am logged in and pull up my booking, it just takes me back to the welcome screen to book spa treatments, pay for beverage packages, etc., and those links work fine. I did check with our travel agent and got a price on a United flight and it was the same price that I got myself on United's Website and 3rd party booking sites. About $350 per person for a one way flight. Thank you.
