  1. I think the first night was the only time we only ordered off the Blu menu. Every other night it was a mix of Blue items and MDR items. Some nights we just weren't interested in the Blu offerings, but loved the dining room and the staff.

It will served table side, but ask your waiter about the quality before you order.  The warm water lobster is hit or miss, can be very stringy and almost inedible

On the Equinox last week the menu said cold water and the waiter said it was from Nova Scotia.

We all need to accept that covid is endemic, and will be present onboard, when we go ashore and when we travel to/from the ports, and thus set our expectations and behaviour accordingly.

This is right, at some point we'll have to stop counting cases and making a big deal over it. I cruise next month and just hope I test negative before boarding. As with everything I read on CC I take it with a grain of salt, many posters here are some of the loudest voices, there are tons of other people out there cruising and having a great time without worry.

Incorrect...If you're VAXED there are ZERO ports that require tours through X.  X states it may require a "government approved" tour but in many cases that just means you take a taxi out of the secured area.  In some cases such as Barbados and St Lucia (went there two weeks ago) where X says you need a government approved tour, you can walk outside the secured area without a tour booked.

I was on an Edge sailing this past July when you needed an X tour if you wanted to get off the ship in Cozumel, you followed an X guide off the ship and they handed you off to the non-X tour guide.  After the tour was over they dropped you off in front of the secured area, you were free to explore the island and mingle with whomever.

I am referring to an excursion only offered through the cruise line, not a required excursion. Tortola doesn't have an abundance of choices and no third party offers the excursion (Snorkel Sail to Gorda Baths) we are doing there.

  5. We are considering cancelling a sailing excursion on St. Maarten and booking at a different time directly through the sailing company. It is earlier in our cruise and we don't want the chance of being labeled as a close contact and have to go through the testing/isolation process. I wish would could do the same for a Tortola excursion but it is only offered through the cruise line.

How would this would have been managed in TX if the shots/booster(s) had been given by different providers?

I'm not exactly sure, but my guess would be to go to the most recent place you got a shot. All of the places giving the shots should be able to pull records from the state database.

  7. Just in case anyone searches for this in the future. We were able to get this resolved in TX by going to a location of the pharmacy that gave the vax, they provided a new card with her new last name and updated her name in the database, very easy.

  8. The name change is complete so she has a new passport, drivers license and other stuff. I may try reaching out to Celebrity again to get more info and also reach our the pharmacy that made the card to see if she can get an updated one.

  9. Checking in for our upcoming cruise we realized my wife's vax card has her maiden name on it and since then she has taken my last name. Has anyone run into this issue before? I talked to customer service this morning and the rep was trying to dig into this for me since its a unique situation and wasn't able to find anything, but then called got disconnected and they didn't call back. Any other time we've had an issue with stuff showing her old last name a copy of the our marriage license has been sufficient. I'm wonder if any other newlyweds have had this kind of issue.

  10. Everyone knew the day would come that these mask rules would go away. Some people will celebrate their end and others will have trouble adjusting. At the end of the day everyone now has a choice in many places and I will respect whatever choice make for themselves.

Are they requiring KN95 / FFP2? Or medical masks do the job?

Doubtful due to supply, also it doesn't make much of a difference compared to a cloth masks if they do not have a tight seal. I'm on  the Equinox this summer, I suspect this will be cleared up by then if not in a week or two.
