  2. Hello Sky, according to Cruise Mapper if I am reading this right we are some 50 to 60 miles away from each other at this point from waving hello from each others starboard and port windows. Not sure if this is as close as we will get but, Hello from Neptune. Hoping your sailing is smooth. Cheers and Hello.

  5. Tauranga has turned out beautifully and we haven't even sailed out yet.
  6. Yesterday, independently toured from Devonport Takarunga Mount Victoria. Views of Rangitoto Island, Summit Battery, Auckland, and a big NUG oh GUN.
  7. Hey Jim, totally missed that one, not sure how, I guess we never made it down there in time. Will try for the next time. See you then. Cheers πŸ₯‚πŸ»
  8. Yes Le Truck excursion was really good. We enjoyed it. Was amazed to see how many resorts had closed and were in disrepair. But many still remain and are flourishing. We helped where we could, the wallet is a little lighter now, easier to ride the tender back, ha.
  9. Hey UWDawg, we searched high and low and didn't come up with it. We were the third truck of 6 today. Hopefully someone comes up with the lens and we will advise if we hear of anything and put you in touch. There was also the Wind Spirit in port today.
  10. How do you feel about eggplant, I think it was in every dish last WC.πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«
  11. So far haven't seen a whale personally but lots of brown and red footed Boobies abound.
  12. Query as to who is the Skys Wildlife Lecturer is? Last year on Neptune we had Robin Petch aka the whaleman, he was excellent. Is he on the Sky? He is not Neptune this time.
  13. Thanks Clay, this will definitely help in planning our day in Santa Barbara. 🍻
  14. Was a shuttle available on State street, just curious as we are there in three days on Neptune? Today looked like a beautiful day in Santa Barbara. Cheers
  15. Neptune sails thru Gatun Locks, pool roof open. Nice sunny day. See everyone on the Pacific side.
  16. Bon Voyage watching you pull out from FLL. Many on the sports deck and Aquvit Terrace. Beautiful sailout! Happy WC leg to LA, see you in approximately 17 days. Have a good Christmas and New Years. Keep us informed of any changes. Cheers 🍻 πŸŽ„πŸŽ…πŸŽ† πŸ₯‚

  19. Thank you CharTrav for finding the Viking Vela. As you have pointed out the Vela being wider and longer with more pax onboard with added staterooms Just compared cabin sizing on the web site, the staterooms sizing between VO Ships have also grown with the new Vela. VO Ships to Saturn - Vela V's size: 270 sq ft (includes veranda) - Vela size: 288 sq ft (includes veranda) DV's size: 270 sq ft (includes veranda) - Vela size: 288 sq ft (includes veranda) PV's size: 338 sq ft (includes veranda) - Vela size: 360 sq ft (includes veranda) PS's size: 405 sq ft (includes veranda) - Vela size: 432 sq ft (includes veranda) ES's size: 757–1,163 sq ft (includes private veranda) - Vela size: 808–1,215 sq ft (includes veranda) OS size 1,448 sq ft - Vela size: 1,488 sq ft multi-room suite including veranda Would that make for more room in any of the other areas such as Torshavn, speciality restaurants, etc? I am not sure...
  20. Our crew is mask free!!! So good to actually see the crew!!!πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ™‚
  21. I believe a new feature of the Neptune, is port and starboard pool windows open to allow for better airflow and come down half way. As a further note the stateroom curtains are manual non powered like the Sun was. I stand to be corrected if the open windows were added on previous ships.
  22. Thanks for the heads-up we plan to see everyone there. πŸ™‚πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦
  23. Sorry for the delayed reply, Mstadaleraz has got it right that is what I see as well.
