  1. Sometimes the comedians perform there (on other cruises). I'm bummed they have stopped offering multiple shows.
  2. Just made final payment for Haven on the Epic - getting so excite about our cruise this fall! First time in Haven and first time on the Epic.
  3. Thanks for the insights, Russiamomm! We typically get balcony or mini-suites then buy Vibe passes so thats money we'd be saving on Vibe! Bummer there's no hot tubs though we like the quite area and the bar so that still sounds like a win for us! Plus we are doing Caribbean so it should be warm. We must sail Joy one day, we got covid when we were booked on her to Bermuda, we were sure that would have been the time we were able to upgrade to Haven. - LoL!
  4. Yay - we're have our first Haven experience this fall on the Epic! Can you explain why? We saw there was access to Posh Beach Club, is this still true? We love the Vibe beach club on the Breakaway and Prima class ships.
  5. I love the Breakaway Class ships! The waterfront is my favorite part. Sailing on the Epic this fall for the first time so I can't really give an opinion either way.
  6. We are booked in the Haven on the Epic this fall, our first time in the Haven. From what I have read, Haven guest had access to Posh Beach Club in the past. Is this still true? Since the Epic is a one off ship, I'm not sure what to expect. I saw the Haven has it's own fitness center and an adults only section but I can't figure out if that is part of Posh or now?
  7. We haven't sailed on Epic yet but are booked this fall in the Haven for a big birthday. Due to the mixed opinions, figured that's the best way to travel on the ship. First Haven experience so excited about that!
  8. So odd, Palomar was my favorite! But I'm a fan of seafood.
  9. I have been on both ships and would prefer Prima due to the observation area for cooler climates. She's new, beautiful and the food is amazing (love Indulge Food Hall - included!!). I've never been to any of the ports but Iceland and Norway are on my bucket list. But honestly, I'd love to cruise to Greenland, too!
  10. We had a few people that had both on our cruise last week, they were not planning on leaving the ship as the ports of call were the typical Bahamas cruise that many of us have done a bazillion times.
  11. The Star is a fine ship. All the basics, a few upscale dining options, none of the fluff of the newer ships. While I love the newer ships with all the whiz-bang options, I'd be fine on the Star if it was a shorter or port intensive sailing.
  12. Rommel is bartender extraordinaire! Can't wait to see him later this week. Does anybody know if Ruby is working with him??
  13. The Vibe can be both - I need my chill/recover time while my husband never leaves the bar. LOL! We've meet great friends of all ages (we're 50s) in Vibe - younger and older. Bartenders are excellent.
  14. Glad I saw this thread - we have option to upgrade to Spa Balcony for 100-200 PP on our 7 day cruise next month. Wondering if it will be worth while. My husband probably won't use it as he'd be out drinking (LoL!), I can see me using that as a place to chill. Wondering if the price is worth it as I have no clue. Maybe we will try minimum bid?? We already bought Vibe passes, are spa passes available in advance now?? UPDATE: I found that we can by the passes in advance - $339 per person for our cruise so bidding on the Spa Balcony room is a good deal!
  15. Great review! We're sailing on her in Mid-Dec, balcony cabin with Vibe passes. Can't wait!
  16. Just got the 2nd email claiming $49 fares but I don't see anything on the site. Has anybody had any luck with this??
