  1. no we weren't given a Time Frame, but when we were told they had already been approved, I would have expected it not to have taken too long. We were told at the same time, that the Herald had also been approved to be back in print, and the Room Service new Menu had also been approved.....I haven't really heard if either of those things have been introduced yet.....the fluffy bath mats was another, and I have heard they are starting to make an appearance on the ships. Hopefully all will be taken care of ASAP.
  2. We had a Private Meeting with the President Natalya and the Senior Vice President and they confirmed that the Specialty soaps had already been approved.
  3. The specialty soaps that used to be given out are "supposed" to be making a comeback, but no idea if they will be the same as we used to have, or different ones. My favourite was always the smallest...The Hermes!
  4. sorry, no I didnt see any messages......will have a look now. I had three pages going during the WC so flitted back and forth a lot and obviously missed stuff....again, sorry.
  5. I think the Trio on the WC had a very long Contract but we were told in the middle of the WC that their Contract wouldn’t be renewed. We then started hearing the same stories coming from the other ships. Seabourns idea seems to be that they will just rehire them for World and Grand cruises. Don’t really think these people can just sit around waiting for Seabourn to need them. I know the Sojourn Trio had a new Contact for another Cruiseline and I also know another Cruiseline is approaching other Groups. Hopefully they will all be rehired very quickly, but not by Seabourn.
  6. Trios and Quartets are only going to be on World and Grand cruises from now on. If you look at most itineraries now they are made up of 7 dayers, either by themselves or back to back 7 dayers, making up to 21 days, BUT they are still 7 dayers. THAT is the excuse they are using for not having Live Music. "Not worthwhile hiring Trios etc for just 7 day cruises"......exact words used......
  7. Quote: "As the Hotel Director remarked while we were observing, the ship was “basically empty” after the World Cruise and its last segment sailing up from South Africa." Sounds like Harry didn't happen to mention that the ship was "basically empty" for MUCH of the WC! Seems more like he was saying it was us WCruisers that had emptied it! I can assure you that was NOT the situation onboard. We ran out of soooooooo many things, both in food and drink. And this wasn't just towards the end, this was the entire World Cruise. Many people went out and bought their own wine when they could. Beer drinkers just gave up..... we asked at Port after Port if there were deliveries of beer arriving, nope, just excuses. I had been doing a "Cocktail Challenge" on this WC....trying, photographing and posting pics of all sorts of cocktails......had to give up after a couple of Segments as there were too many in ingredients missing. Imagine cocktails that are supposed to have Baileys in them, minus the Baileys cos they don't have any....or cocktails that were supposed to have chocolate liquor being replaced by chocolate syrup used on icecream.....after me "complaining" for weeks about the lack of Baileys, surprise surprise, they just happened to find a carton in the store!! I really wouldn't listen to "excuses" that you were given. We were NOT a full ship for the entire WC, there really was little excuse for such shortage of supplies.....
  8. Yep, that was us....first back!! (in the first pic)......
  9. This was the party you missed! Beautiful sunset, great food and cocktails, The Captain, Hotel Director, F&B Manager, Bar Manager, Chief Engineer, Guest Services Manager, plus many other Officers all attended! The Captain slowed down the ship so we had no wind out the front, just a nice breeze.....perfect setting!
  10. the first suite on our Deck had all that stuff too......all going straight out onto the Balcony! BTW...I have had a few people ask me if I know who sharkb8 is......I run another Seabourn Group.....and am also on the WC. Obviously some of the members of my group also read this page. We are holding a Get Together on Saturday April 8 at 5.30pm, Deck 6 Forward.....you are welcome to attend, and see "another group of Seabourners" if you are at all interested......
  11. We did the one day tour, quite a few years ago now, and after speaking to people who did the two day/overnight option, we saw "almost" as much as they did. A LOT of their time was spent at the hotel. Yes, its a long drive, but we saw a LOT when we got there, and after a boxed dinner on the bus, we all slept all the way back to the ship.
  12. they were always the two suites we booked every cruise for many years!
  13. this Booklet used to also show the number of Guests from each Country as well.....it was always interesting to see just where in the World everyone came from.
  14. Actually the short answer is ....Yes....we did get them for many years! Just before Covid they changed to an Electronic version so instead of printed, it was via email. It wasn't "Compulsory" so no privacy laws comes into it, although the high majority of Guests took part. I haven't sailed since the return "post Covid" so maybe just something they haven't caught back up with yet. Might be time to remind them!!
  15. I agree with that comment! I was so excited to see the tests being removed, but then was stunned to see it wouldn't apply to me! I cant see why a longer cruise makes any difference.....after 16 days, if we test positive, its quite possibly that we have picked it up from someone who wasn't tested, because they only boarded for 7 days......doesn't seem fair....hope it changes.
  16. But what you said about the "16 day thing" being dropped is not true, and the Website clearly states any cruise 16 days and over requires testing! That is ANY cruise ANYWHERE .
  17. I have just been to the Seabourn website and can see no mention of the 16 day and over cruises being exempt from testing.
