  1. Too funny- what a great sense of humor.
  2. Hello NJ Guy, I just noticed you are in N.J so am I (Bergen Coiunty). Small world!!
  3. Well, thank you. i still intend to post but trying to get my act together first still feeling very tired but a few more cups of coffee should do it. Thank you for your support. I guess the popcorn eaters may be outnumbered.
  4. Thank you, I will list my thoughts you are absolutely right and some others also .
  5. Thank you, Hattie, I was on this particular cruise before and loved it. now thanks to your kind comment and from a couple of other posters I will write my thoughts in a little while I only changed my mind because I could tell there may be people out there that will rip my comments apart but I decided I really do not care about the negative comments as my 94 year old aunt would say " you are you and I am me " everyone is intitled to their own opinion.
  6. Hattie, I would love to tell you all the things I experienced. But I can see already what will happen. As for the gentleman and his popcorn sorry not telling you what happened as for the crew I more than doubled my tip to my Steward because he was out of work so long. I heard several people saying they were going to complain to Cunard .
  7. What on earth has happened to the level of service that I knew and always received on board this ship. Stay tuned for my comments when I get time to write them.
  8. My next-door neighbor told me she remarked to her coworkers that I was going on a cruise and said that would not be her due to covid and I was very quick to remind her she had not even stepped out of our state and got very ill with covid.
  9. Thank you everyone I will give it my best shot. I have found out in life sometimes the fear of doing something is worse than actually doing it. I wonder are there any other " solos '' on board that may be interested in joining me on my adventure? Please, let me know...
  10. Thank you everyone for your encouragement I am definitely going to give it a try. One thought comes to mind when getting off the ship is there a long line or is it best to wait a while then leave the ship?
  11. Hello. I will be on the July 1st. sailing to Halifax and although I have cruised a lot over the years I as a rule do not get off the ship on port days because I am not the best at getting around if I walk a distance my back hurts (too much information I know). I would love to try and spend some time in Halifax and am wondering is there anything that I can do where the ship is docked that would not take much effort for getting around? are there any of those carts that give you a ride if you want and are there any stores/ restaurant's that are in easy reach of the ship? I really would appreciate any advice so that I can maybe enjoy some time in Halifax. Also, are there areas where you can just sit down and take all the views in? Thank you in advance!!
  12. I personally am looking forward to doing nothing- I am tired of going to work, tired of everyday stress and tired of dealing with fools every day. July 1st. here I come.
  13. I spoke to a rep at Cunard today and they also said they could take the picture and open your account at check in.
  14. I agree with you while some measures I understand need to be I am getting rather tired of all the do's and don'ts I just found out about the photo this evening. Is this about keeping everyone safe or us doing Cunard's work for them?
  15. Speaking of bringing the good stuff what about soda can you still bring that on board?
  16. I take some on board every time I travel on the QM2- never had an issue with this. Will be back on board 7/1 and my good old faithful Gordin's will be with me.
  17. I have never had a problem with anything I take on with me in full view of staff.
  18. I will be on this cruise also. So, looking forward to it after last two previous bookings that were cancelled.
  19. I sail solo every year on the Queen Mary 2 well at lease when she is in service. I love it and I am content paying the extra as this is <me time> would not even take a family member with me.
  20. Well, if they cancel this one it will be my third cruise cancelled in a row. On a happy note they emailed me a couple days ago reminding me that they need Emergency contact info and passport info that i have not filled summitted as yet, so it is looking hopeful.
  21. I for one am-once I rebooked my cruise after the previous one being cancelled my planner completely ignores my phone calls and emails. I was even told by someone at Cunard this individual would be told to phone me- nothing!! I recently contacted Cunard via phone on a couple of occasions to ask permission that being as during the time of my travel the 20th, anniversary of my mother's death will come round. My mother sailed many, many times transatlantic with Cunard and loved it so I wanted to request permission to from the privacy of my balcony throw some flowers into the water and I was told the Captain would have to give me permission to throw the flowers and was given an email address to write to-no response after that one more time or twice to another email address I was given I wrote to this day no response. Well, for what it is worth with or without permission those flowers are going overboard. I tried to do it the proper way and was not respected for my effects. Shame on you Cunard when someone has a sensible request such as this and you ignore it yet truth be know each time I sail with you take my money fast enough...
