Everything is in packing cubes & when I watched the video & they said they were sailing out of New York & denied boarding a Caribbean cruise due to no travel visa, I just about lost my breakfast, my stomach sank because I thought maybe something changed that did not catch in my OCD preparation self. 🙂 Feel better, thank you!!!

The safety video for us was in the Online Check In process. We both watched it & attested to watching it on the Online Check In.

We are all checked in successfully for our December 10, 2023 cruise on the NCL Encore as well. So excited !!!! I think I am over thinking things because I have not cruised in 5 years.. So please do not laugh... I checked the NCL site & the travel.state.gov site both, so I think all looks good on our travel docs.. We are cruising from Miami Port back to Miami Port & we stop in the Dominican Republic, the US Virgin Islands, the British Virgin Islands, & GSC/Bahamas... We both have passports, from what I am seeing on travel.state.gov. we do NOT need travel visas's? Correct? I assumed no until I watched a video on Youtube this morning of someone sailing out of New York & the You Tube Vloggers stated they were going on a "Carribean" Cruise & they were denied boarding because they did not have a travel visa.. I am assuming those people were possibly not US citizens? We are both US Citizens, we live in TX, we are boarding the NCL Encore in Miami FL & disembarking in Miami FL. We do not need a travel visa, correct??????

Okay.. very EXCITING day !!!! Check In day for our Dec 10 NCL Encore cruise !!!! Just checked in this morning.. My results using MacBook & Safari on the Check In Photos, I tried to use the Existing photo option for both myself & my son, it just continually did the "spinning" & never denied it or accepted it. So after that, I just refreshed my browser, went back in & used the Take Photo option & took the photo thru our MacBook camera & it worked for both myself & my son.. Hope this helps anyone else & we are so excited !!!! First time sailing again in FIVE years from Covid shutdown !!!!! I will literally be crying when I step foot on that ship !!!!! Sailing out of Miami & we have the Intercontinental Miami hotel booked before & after the cruise so as not to be rushed getting on or off the ship !!! We have a Spa Balcony room (booked before the changes) & Vibe Beach passes (first time booking Vibe- so excited), so we plan to do a LOT of relaxing !!!!!!!

I too have an ocean villa for our December trip. From what I have read they put tender tickets in the room and we will be the first to tender that morning. I have never done it before either and spent so much money, it it is our first cruise back in 5 years so this was our splurge. 🏝🏝 and the splurge for the Vibe Beach club and our room is a spa balcony room. So it is all about relaxing this vacation. 🏝

I am thinking about booking a Premier cabana as opposed to a Classic Cabana for our December 2023 cruise. There is only two of us, but I like the location of the Premier cabana locations better and that they are more on top of a hill. The cost difference is only $50 for the $550 Classic versus $600 Premier. My question is this, if the ship does not get to tender, do I get my money refunded to me or does NCL keep the money towards a future cruise credit?

I don’t have much money, but the one thing I do have with having my job for 36 years is a lot of vacation days and I use every single one of them. 😊😊 I enjoy the anticipation and preparing the week before leaving and I need the trying to get back to normal routine before having to go back to work. Your reviews are so down to earth and fun to read and your photos are amazing. Thank you for sharing!!! Take care of you and just take it one day at a time. We have not gotten to cruise since December 2018 and we have our next one planned in December of this year on the NCL Encore, so we are living thru you and all the other cruise critic travelers until we can cruise again!!! Just download an app to your phone I have two that I rotate nightly, I used to use a fan and switched to one on my first cruise and now that is all my son and I use , got rid of the fans. Most of the apps are free. I don’t know if I can say the name of the two I use but one is strictly fan noises and the other has waves, fans , white noise, etc on it. Both totally free, both work in airplane mode, and one less thing you have to pack. It is also great to turn up the volume while you are sleeping in case you have noisy neighbors. It blocks the noise right out and you will sleep like a baby. 😉

I have watched many videos on the vibe beach club, we will be on the Encore in December. All the other ships have nice padded chairs in the vibe and the chairs in the vibe on the Encore are not padded and only have an attachable headrest to a standard chair, the chairs look so uncomfortable, has anyone else noticed how inferior the vibe chairs look on the Encore compared to the other Vibe chairs on the other ships? Even the armrests on the chairs look uncomfortable.

Where did the water packages go? Our cruise is in December 2023 and the water packages were in the drink packages area on the app and online a few weeks ago and now only the alcohol, Starbucks, and Soda packages are there… where did the water packages go??

I have a question. Our last NCL cruise was in 2018, I remember several months before the cruise you could go online and click the check in button and enter your passport information, your onboard payment preferences, and some other stuff. Now when I try to do that, our cruise is not until December 2023, it will not let me do that and says I have to wait until the 21 day mark, why did that change? Just curious. This is our first cruise back since 2018.
