  1. Cruised Sept on Emerald, used the old app. Pre-cruise app was desperately poor. Unable to book included speciality dining without being charged. This time new app appears to be working fine. All nights dining now reserved, excursions booked, now only the waiting!
  2. Just returned from Pursuit having upgraded from Verandah to Suite. When calculating value for money note that speciality restaurants was $49.95 pp pn not $35 as per earlier post. 7 nights speciality dining would cost approx £250pp out of the ££325 cost of upgrade. Very pleased that we upgraded
  3. Our upgrade invite came Jan 6 for Mar 16 cruise (10 weeks prior), acceptance came Jan29, 47 days prior.
  4. Just had my upgrade offer , from verandah to suite Pursuit March 16 , accepted for £10 over the minimum bid. Total paid still much less than 50% of today's price. Received email, replied with my tel number and return call all settled within 60 minutes. Very pleased with outcome.
  5. Leisurely Haugesund exursion Saturday. Another coach got stuck on the hill approaching look-out point. Our driver tried to reverse on black ice & nearside rear wheels left the road. Coach at slight angle. Had to evacuate coach and waited for replacement coach. Bl***dy freezing. Slipped on ice and some waited for fire service to ferry down the icy road. Could have been really nasty, large gap between trees on steep embankment. Poor risk assessment in my view.

  8. Booked 7 days ago through TA & received upgrade offers. Made a bid but then read a poor review of deluxe balcony, the only one that was currently available, so withdrew the bid.
  9. The important fact is that this is a downward trend. It doesn’t matter if other cruise lines are also going down. X is probably maintaining its position relative to most other lines but at a far lower absolute standard.

  14. Booked a late select fare but didn't get any choice of cabin or dining so really annoyed. We are returning to P&O after 3 years with no cruises for 1st 2 years but other lines in the last year. At least we got some OBC which offsets some of the extra £100's. More than 3 weeks away so still showing guarantee cabin.

  18. Just discovered that by clicking ‘price from’ a list of applied offers appears. Included is INTL BONUS COMM. What does that mean?
  19. Just had another look and the cruise only price is exactly same as new AI
  20. Compared to dummy booking yesterday for Nov on Infinity, extra cost of AI appears to have INCREASED from approx 540 to 670. This roughly equates to gratuities cost being ADDED NOT TAKEN OFF. However website does state having difficulties with pricing contact call centre
  21. Booked a late cruise on Aurora, select rather than saver fare. Won’t accept my choice of Freedom Dining, also forced me to have a guarantee cabin. So not looking good for the extra hundreds of £’s. My advice would now be only book a saver fare when booking late. First time returning to P&O since Covid and it looks like the last.
  22. Recently sailed on Emerald Princess and found app pre-departure useful EXCEPT we were unable to book our complimentary speciality dining without charging our credit card. Waited until onboard & then dining bookings worked well, drinks service in restaurants was like waiting for paint to dry.
  23. Received the email BUT password rejected, change password option not available. How much longer will website troubles last? 4th cruise booked since last Azamara cruise! Azamara making it so difficult to return!
  24. Reading through some of the posts, keep finding references to an app. Had a look on PlayStore and can only find P&O Australia app. Can you help me?
  25. Disembarked Emerald 9/16. Paid into account 9/21. Received secure email requesting account details then it took less than 2 hours.
