There are so many you can just walk up to one & get on - around $10 - $12. viator & get your guide have various ones with food, drinks, etc for around $30, though I don't know if they have those in the day time.
Thank you! Am not flying in the same day & I tend to think the same way you do as to booking the 13:45. The bus trip back to LHR was the one that had fare difference between 9:45 & 11.I ended up booking flight to Amsterdam out of LHR for a couple reasons - I could get KLM that leaves at 2:45pm & they have a later flight if that is missed or cancelled. The flight out of Southampton was much later & I didn't want to risk 9:20 as some people from MSC said their debarkation has been delayed.
Thank you for all of your help
John Bull, need advice on NE, you have helped me previously. An 11am arrival into LHR without checked bag & am wondering if noon or 13;45 bus is best to book. I will do the 5 pound change so I have options if flight is delayed. How does it work if bus fare is more? Do they chatge the difference? I'm sure they don't refund if fare is cheaper!
That's pretty much what I see. If you are assigned a dining time you don't like with bella, can you switch? I am afraid of getting cabin under the lido. I'm wondering if that could be switched if you don't like it - I know Princess will do that.
Hello. I booked solo on fantastica since it was the only option available at the time. I would now like to add someone to booking (sail date May 29, Virtuosa) & I see bella is now available, adding a person would only cost $154.I was told by MSC that is possible to do. Is the fantastica worth the difference? (extra $152). My room mate is on a budget & I always like to save money. On the reservation it says "bottled water & American coffee & tea are included at lunch & dinner". Is that only with fantastica? What about breakfast in dining room - coffee included?
How do you purchase individual train tickets? I am doing the 397 bus to the city but will need to take the train from centaal station to Ziggo Dome & back. Can I buy r/t ticket at the station with a credit card?
I'm thinking of possibly taking the later flight from Southampton with hopes of doing a tour around Southampton area but most seem to end up in London or thereabouts. Do you know of any bus tours around the area - I'm on my own so I don't want to do a private car.
I like your thinking! I'm going on MSC Virtuosa, a cruise line I have never been on which is making me a little nervous also. Good idea to check carryon size. I would rather do this plan but if anything is delayed then next flight not until around 6pm.LHR has more options for unexpected hiccups
Yes for Sat June 3, flight BA438. Do you think there's no problem to get of MSC cruise, walk to NE bus, get to LHR & check in for the flight without too much stress?
I am a fast walker so this is a definite option but since I am on holiday I may do the slow leisurely option & take the cheaper 415, haha. I may just book that & if I get to airport early maybe check if I could do standyby on the 2 earlier flights. Don't know if BA lets you do that.
I'm thinking if everything goes OK at debarkation I will be able to walk to NE bus station in plenty of time for 9am
That is what I am considering. I would get the 5 pound option for LHR.
My choices for flights are LHR to AMS 12:50, 415. or most expensive 2:45. I would try to make 12:50 using NE bus at 9am but 415 is cheapest & will be no pressure - gives me lots of wiggle room. Southampton flights are 9:20 & 5:20pm They are $180 opposed to $76 - $126 for LHR. I would love to do 5:20 if I could find a group tour around the area but they don't seem to exist
I am now seeing 9:20 flight from Southampton airport to Amsterdam. Seems tight in case something goes wrong. Would anyone actually try to attempt this with just carryon?
