  1. As far as I know it is only the Dream class ships with a smoke free casino annex.
  2. If I'm not mistaken, it's only the Vista class ships that had the bar removed. So depending on the vessel, chances are you'll be fine.
  3. I was on Adventure OTS in December, and while I don't recall Asian breakfast item, they did have a portion of the lunch buffet with Indian food every single day. I don't know if this is done fleet wide for them, but it absolutely should be. I was delicious.
  4. My guess is that they'll be pre-made like the little deli cooler at the pizza place on RCL.
  5. Of course. How else are you supposed to your room's two bottles of wine on, and then your roommate also get your room's two bottles of wine on 5 minutes later? I kid, I kid...
  6. Can sausage get in on this bacon conversation? On the last couple of cruises they have gotten in the habit of mixing different kinds of sausages in the buffet pan. It's like they don't think they ever have enough of one type of sausage to make it through the whole breakfast. They'll have breakfast links, hot dog looking links, andouille, Italian sausage all out in one pan. Ain't nobody wants to grab fennel-heavy Italian sausage for breakfast on accident. 🤪
  7. I guess I don't understand where the name Pizza Plus in the article comes from.
  8. A tad bit confusing. So are Pizza Pirate & Pizzeria del Capitano being renamed Pizza Plus? And they are adding salads, pasta, and sandwiches to the offerings?
  9. Off the Dream 2 weeks ago. 4200 guests. So 115% full based on double occupancy.
  10. A year later and it's still like that. I came to the conclusion that the lights aren't really out. I think as time went on they replaced the bulbs with ones that aren't compatible with the dimmer. I've seen it at my house. Some of the LED bulbs I have gotten just shut completely off at some point in the dimming.
  11. We did the 8-day 2 weeks ago. No complaints about the service. We really enjoyed the cruise. Our room was cold, but our role-call had several people complaining about their stateroom temperature being too hot. Being summer, it was sailing over 100%. The main problem that caused was you needed to be in the Lounge 40-45 minutes before comedian showtime, or you flat-out weren't getting a seat. I did see about 20 people sitting on the floor one evening for a PG show at that. Also you will be getting a temporary CD I believe. MarQ is on week 2 of a 6-week vacation. The fill-in was on our cruise getting the lay of the land. He's hired on from NCL. We've sailed the Breeze within the year too. 4 differences come to mind. 1. There's an art gallery instead of the Red Frog Brew Pub. Not a fan of that difference. 2. Dream is a Farcus designed ship. I personally prefer his decor. Especially the lounge on this ship. 3. The longer Dream itineraries seem to attract a much less raucous crowd than the 4&5 night Breeze itineraries. Not once did I see someone with a 10" Bluetooth speaker wedged slot machines jamming their music for everyone to hear. 4. Dream only has a steakhouse and sushi for optional dinner. Where as Breeze also has the Italian restaurant.
  12. I just got off her last week. The casino bar had the most TVs. About 6 maybe. There is no Red Frog Brew Pub on Dream unfortunately, just an art gallery. There is a single TV at the aft pool bar as well.
  13. Similar to the topic. American Outlaws (US Soccer Supporter group) has chartered a MCS ship for the group stage of the Qatar World Cup. This way they didn't have to spread everyone out at multiple hotels and contract rates with them all. Just go to your one big hotel docked at the port. It probably helps with the public drinking laws as well.
  14. Was your fare tied to him in any way? Casino? Veteran?
  15. Arriving 4-5 days ahead, with multiple destinations, I would probably price a rental car and see if that's not more feasible for your pre-cruise time.
  16. I second heading towards San Antonio, and places within a 90 mile radius, for a better grasp of Texas.
  17. If you will be there around brunch time, I'd suggest Hearsay on the Strand. Like most everyone says, it's probably easier to drop your bags off first at the port and walk over. There is also a convenience store on one end of the Strand called "The Cruise Stop" where you can check your luggage while you walk around, if you don't go by the port first.
  18. I do too. I'm now a sucker for a good NA IPA. It's about #5 for me. And the only local one. 1. Athletic - Run Wild IPA 2. Athletic - Free Wave Hazy IPA 3. Untitled Art - Juicy IPA 4. Untitled Art - West Coast IPA 5. Karbach - Free & Easy IPA
  19. Although not Carnival, I did take a 12-pack of Karbach Free & Easy on a Royal Caribbean cruise in December. No one said anything. I should note though, that nobody was working the drink check table. So they didn't check my 2 bottles of wine either. Or my roommates 2 bottles carefully spaced about 10 people behind me in the line.
