  1. Ooh we are similar to you first time cruisers and going on grandeur in Feb 2024 and booked our own flights with BA from LHR , although our flight home is earlier than yours . Excited already even though it’s 6 months away 😊
  2. I think I saw on here somewhere that they do stock it so I’m hoping to find it on Grandeur and plan to spend a lot of our $1000 on board credit on it 😂
  3. This is just ridiculous . They know there are two people per cabin . So you either pay $30 a day or only one person can use their phone . I’ve never heard anything like it . Makes me so angry
  4. That’s probably the same cruise we ate booked on 😊
  5. That sounds very expensive ! Are you going on the Grandeur cruise 5 Feb? We are . I used avios points for our flights luckily , although couldn’t get business class for the return journey as they all disappeared the moment they were released but I’m hoping more might become available later.
  6. Yes indeed and we are booked on Grandeur 2024 - an expensive error if we don’t like it but I guess we won’t go hungry whether or not the food is top notch and if I eat a little less I might not need to go on a diet when I get home 😂
  7. Very interesting review thank you . We will be on Grandeur for our first ever cruise next February . I’m still not 100% sure cruising is for me but got to try it once !
  8. Techno123 thank you for this - it’s very reassuring ! The luxury hotel vibe with spa ,champagne lunches and sunbathing is more my idea of a good time than jigsaw puzzles and origami 🤪
  9. We have just booked our first ever cruise and it’s on Grandeur in 2024. After watching that Channel 5 series I’m getting worried . It all just looked a tad boring and dare I say a bit like afternoon activities in my mum’s old folks home … I mean i’m in my 60’s myself now but I was hoping for something a little livelier or glamorous for the very high price tag … 😬
  10. Dave you are a star thank you - as I am new to Marriott points ( only started getting points last year from a stay in Dubai ) as well as new to cruising . Thanks so much . Joan
  11. Thanks everyone I will have a look at these hotels 😀x
  12. Hi there - no sadly the suites with the included hotel were sold out already so we need to book our own 🙂
  13. Hello All, We are just booking our first ever cruise and it will be on the Regent Seven Seas Grandeur Feb 2024 😀 I know it’s early but I am thinking ahead to where we might stay the night before . We will be flying in from the UK to Miami and we have some Marriott points in hand so thought I would use those for a hotel stay before the cruise …the cruise itself is very expensive so need to keep associated costs down 😂 Can anyone recommend a convenient Marriott hotel please convenient for the cruise terminal or maybe part way between the airport and terminal where it would be easy to get a taxi the day of the cruise . Nothing super fancy as we only have 33000 points . Mind you maybe it might be safer to arrive 2 nights before. Thank you , Joan
  14. Hi there. We have never been on a cruise before and are just about to book Regent Seven Seas Grandeur ! It seems to be very popular and we can either have a deluxe veranda on deck 6 mid ship , or there is one superior suite left 805 near the front but it seems to be opposite the laundry room . I like the idea of the bigger suite as it has a bath and a bigger bed too ,but I am a bit worried about potential noise from the laundry room. also I am thinking that deck 8 towards the front of the ship willthere be more movement in case I feel seasick …this superiorsuite is currently being held for me for a day …any advice wouldbe greatly appreciated. There are no concierge suites left by theway . I know Grandeur is new but if anyone has been on a similar level in the Splendour or similar that would be so helpful . thanks Joan
