We’ve booked with Celebrity for May of next year and I’m reading the details of the packages we have and was surprised to see this on the premium drink package:
- “Packages may not be shared, and do not include beverages sold in gift shops, mini-bar or room service.“
so if we order room service the food is included but the drinks are extra? So much for some OJ with breakfast. Do they really charge you for room service drinks? Also, would it be in poor taste to ask the butler to clear out the mini bar?
OJ is included with breakfast, and it isn't an issue to have the fridge cleared out. The room service charge is for alcoholic beverages.

It can vary depending on the number of eligible passengers. With over 600 on the cruise I just finished, it was held in a section of the MDR, and the next leg it was back in Tuscan, which is the usual location.

I saw on the cruise tracker that all three - Eclipse, Millennium and Solstice are in Victoria today. 😲
No Eclipse here today. She is in Lahaina.

We arrived home this evening and are happy to be home. Had a wonderful visit with our son, DIL and youngest grandson - Had not seen them since 2019. Great news is we will see them again next month at the oldest grandson's wedding in ND.
I would again like to thank everyone for following along and especially to those of you who contributed additional comments.
Not quite home yet. We did this today...

Thanks for. letting me know how things went. Your comment about Hertz San Pedro--what was the problem? Poor service? Bad area?
Enjoy your weekend.
CBP wanted face to face with every passenger on this cruise. Had nothing to do with facial recognition.

Safe travels to all departing this morning.

Good description. In the MDR we ordered the lobstah and NY strip. Made it more of a meal than the tail alone. Baked Alaska was pleasantly delicious.
I just couldn't see anyone paying $20 for a second one, but there was one sold at least.

That was definitely a completely made up story. While my invite for our departure day from FLL said it's an Aqua Class invite I talked to at least two couples who were neither Retreat or Aqua/Concierge guests. Today's departure was beautiful from the sunset bar, catching a last glimpse of land before going back to reality (LAX).
Well, with the lack of verifying eligibility for any attendees, the helipad was a free-for-all so to speak.

I'm on board right now (15 day Panama) and we have 6 children here. Rarely see them, let alone hear them.

Why does this stop take so long? The captain said they'd just transfer the sick passenger, yet we're still here.
The med team came, went ashore again, returned and it appears the passenger is now on the way to shore. We are underway.

I don't have a cellphone. I know,I am a dinosaur and a rarity. How inconvenienced am I going to be on my Equinox cruise in November? As an Elite member of Captain's Club, I used to have free time in the ship's internet computer room If I recall properly, I could print off my plane ticket before leaving the ship and heading to the airport. Now I see on the Celebrity site, that I will get a percentage off a package. Should I take the package? Is not WiFi available everywhere on board? Is there a charge? I was going to bring my laptop, (yep, dinosaur) but am wondering if it will work on board, and what I have to do to access it? Do I need to download something prior to sailing? I ask, as I assume that all you modern people (like some family members) will be married to your phones, and you must have to connect some way while aboard and will be able, as usual, to give me the best advice.
Thanks,
Bill
You still have those free minutes and in reality there is no change for you. WiFi is still available all over the ship.

After lunch I had some time on my hands so I decided to take a stroll about the ship and see if I could uncover any information regarding a phenomenon I read about on CC all the time but never experienced because we are not pool people or sun worshipers.
Of course I am talking about the elusive “Chair Hog.” From what I can determine from my walk about today the chair hog must be a hibernating animal and is currently in hibernation or has an invisibility cloak engaged. You tell me.
Chair hogs are seldom found on a port day. They are sea day creature.

Did you ever go and buy 1/2 a cake at the bakery? It's never just 1/2 the price of the whole thing. Or a half order of a menu item at a restaurant? BTW the upgrade price is $87 for Elite+.

I finally broke down and am using a few of my streaming minutes to contribute to the thread. The basic didn't even allow me to reply to any of the comments. I am not a professional you tuber so I don't care about views. This is just a time lapse of part of our trip yesterday...

So for my fellow shipmates on this cruise, how are you liking the revised menu’s in your respective dining venue’s?
It has thrown me for a loop as I planned my fist day/night’s menu on the menu that was online until today. Adjusting to the change is challenging for me. 🙂
I was so looking forward to prime rib. Guess I'll have to wait until Sunday.

We are here too. Right at the door to the gangway.

...It was also memorable due to the ship colliding with the lock gates, necessitating a repair and some panic over whether we could proceed. Thankfully all the damage was above the water line.
We'll be back on her early next year so looking forward to hearing all about her
Had the same thing in '07 on the Summit. The gate didn't retract into the wall fully and we had a long scrape alongside. Luckily it was between the rows of windows.

That is something I am not knowledgeable of - that I can move my deposit to another Celebrity booking without loss (except for the $100 charge).
Good to know, thanks. Makes this decision almost a no-brainer now.
You just need to keep in mind that you must keep your original booking number. Do not cancel and then rebook a new cruise. Just change the ship and sail date on your original booking.

We’re at our pre-flight hotel and just finished having dinner and drinks with our DD and SIL.
Now that yhe ‘children’ are gone, my DW and I are relaxing with round 3 prior to heading upstairs to our room for the night. Plan to take the 0630 or 0700 shuttle to the airport for our 0820 boarding time.
Long Island for me, Tanqueray and ginger for DW.
Rest up and have a great flight.

I'm there with you and will add some photos if you wish. I don't want to step on your toes so to speak.

Website doesn't show 3-person rooms for 2-person booking

I have not liked looking for a room since they went to this search a few years ago. I liked it when they showed all available staterooms on the deck plan and you chose your specific one, no matter the category.
