It was the most cost effective way to increase the number of staterooms and passenger capacity, far less money than lengthening the ship.

It was in effect last week when my sister booked the Sihouette for March 2022. She saved nearly $1000 much to both our amazements. That is for a balcony room...not Concierge or Aqua.
If one is concerned about collecting CC points, the single cabin gets you 3 points/night and the standard cabin gets the solo sailor double points/night.

I have looked into this extensively. While there are a few cabins available, you are limited to location. As well, when all is calculated there is very little difference in cost between sailing solo in a standard cabin and these small "single" cabins. There has been a promotion for 35% off for solo travellers. I am not sure if it is still in effect.

Complimentary?
Yes, if your booking was made prior to November 16, 2021. Bookings after are subject to a fee, $95 I believe.

The sale has been extended

Thank you for that. It really doesn't look like much has changed, but it is nice to see the whole 14 day rotation.

Not being rude just my opinion, but why ask when all the information is in the app, just use it.
I thought this was friendly and helpful group Maybe I was mistaken, but thanks for your opinion. You can just scroll by topics that don't interest you BTW.

Prior to final payment, refaring the cruise is pretty straightforward. Think of it in terms of making a new booking the day you change. So if the price goes down, but the perks aren't as good, you'll get the lower price, but give up the better perks. Also, the particular category of room your booked has to be available, if you want to reprice and keep the room you have. For example, lets say you've selected room #5678, because that's your lucky number, and it's a 1B veranda. If you look in four months and there are no 1B verandas, but 1A and 1C verandas are less than you've booked for, the only way you can change is to move to another category. However, if there's any 1B available, you can book at the lower price, and keep your cabin.

Actually the category doesn't have to be available. I just did this last week with the current sale. Only insides show available when you try booking, but they had the ability to refare any storeroom category.

It can't be done on the website. It's either let it expire or call in. Most are only on hold for one day anyways.

I tried to do a hold and clicked on:

Unfortunately with the current situation I don't see a reduced deposit on the horizon. In my estimation the pent up demand for cruises would indicate to them that a reduced deposit isn't needed to get people booking. I could be wrong. Two years ago they had reduced deposits for Black Friday, but from what I have seen that is not the case this year. Reduced deposits are available at the future cruises desk while on board though.

Thanks; I’ve read that before but it hasn’t come up for me. Perhaps I haven’t gone far enough. When you say go to the confirmation page, is that after you’ve put in credit card info to pay the deposit? Just trying to understand how far you have to go. Thanks!1 hour ago, wrk2cruise said:No the summary page with the "Lock it in" button. Don't press that button, just click on the Celebrity logo on the top of the page.
What wrk2cruise said.

... What has really changed here is that there's no way to do it on line (some folks have gotten lucky and had a hold option appear, but the "place a hold" button is long gone) unless a chat box appears, which it doesn't always. That leaves us with having to call in.
If you go all the way to the confirmation page and then click on the Celebrity logo at the top left, a pop-up comes on asking if you really want to leave or place a courtesy hold. Click the button and you are there.

Is there anyone who has cruised lately (especially on the Millennium) who has taken pics of the menu boards posted outside the MDR each evening? I am especially interested in the 7 day and up menu rotation. My sailing for next May is not yet available to look up in the app. Thanks.

Adding someone to my solo cruise
in Celebrity Cruises

I just did this a few months ago. Since my fare was double as a solo, the only fare change was the port fees and taxes for the second guest. Then an additional deposit was required for the additional passenger.
