There is another full wine list, with choices that do not appear on the list we've asked for at, say, Jacques?

They don't routinely offer this list to passengers who ask for the wine list?

    RM

This page has all of the wine menus for the various specialty restaurants:  https://www.oceaniacruises.com/ships/riviera/cuisine/  I don't know if those are different selections from the main dining room.

I should probably know this, but I forgot already.  The wine and beer selection is the same for the Select package and the premium package upgrade?  The difference between the two is the Select is only beer and wine with lunch and dinner, while the Premium is anytime and included the cocktails/booze as listed?

    Thanks.

    Yes - that's correct.

We board in March for our first cruise on Oceania. I’m interested in the red wines that are offered with the drink package so any info you can give would be much appreciated!!

The list on Oceania's site is pretty accurate to what I saw on the 12/23 cruise for wines by the glass.  All of these would be included in the drink packages - https://www.oceaniacruises.com/Documents/Menus/1700/Terrace-Cafe-Wine-list.pdf

Are private excursions allowed or just Oceania excursions?  Thanks 🙂

As Nymich said - it can change from day to day, but on my 12/23 cruise, none of the ports had restrictions.  I was able to roam freely once on shore, so I assume private excursions would be fine as well.

Thank you so much for the time spent on your cruise keeping us "In The Know".  Will be on the ship in February for our first Oceania Cruise.  Can you say if they are doing any of the cooking classes on your cruise?   And if so, are they limiting the number of people attending?

They were doing the cooking classes on the 12/23 cruise, but I believe they had transitioned to "demonstration only".  Not sure about attendance limits.

There is a streaming upgrade not sure the price just using the surf provided.  It has been pretty good for Ship wifi.

I'm sure someone can chime in who knows the price.

Free plan is Wavenet Free unlimited and the upgrade is Wavenet Prime with streaming that has a per day rate charge.

The streaming upgrade is $10/day.  I don't think it was any faster, but it will let you play YouTube, etc.(sometimes), and I could access my home cameras when logged into that.  I was surprised when I went to get the streaming upgrade, I ended up with two logins - one streaming, one not - for just the $10/day.  That was unexpected, I didn't have to pay extra for the second login.

By the way, if you want your own personal view of the wake,  Walk through that exit door on deck 7.  You won't get locked out😄

I like the view at the back of the terrace.  Incidentally, if you're ever at the lunch buffet and they have the Mole Pork Shoulder (I think that was the cut) - you have to get it.  🔥

DJust starting to pack for 1/14 cruise.  My husband wants to know if any of the men are wearing jackets to dinner in the main dining room or specialty restaurants?

I saw many wearing a jacket to both (even a very few that wore one to Terrace for dinner), but many also not wearing them.  This was on the 12/23 cruise.

  9. We were on this year's Christmas/New Years cruise.  Turkey dinner for Christmas in MDR and Terrace, nothing specific for NYE.  Nice, tasteful decorations, plus the gingerbread village.

When this thread started  I wanted to communicate to others safety, procedures, daily schedules all of which have been impacted and  changed during these times. I felt in doing that it would help people decide how they felt about cruising currently.

In that spirit this is the current KN95 provided by O upon request. The mask is light weight and single banded over the ears.  I actually look BETTER with mine on!

We are having a great time!

We had those waiting on our bed when we first arrived onboard on 12/23, and another set was magically provided later in the cruise, either as a weekly update or in response to the testing/port changes.

I agree 100%, Pilgrimage!  After the first time ordering the tail at the grill, I stand there and tell them when to turn mine and when to take it off and serve to me. Probably think I'm nuts 'cause they are the experienced cooks, but by inserting myself into their timing I get a perfectly cooked lobster tail every time.

As busy as the grill station was most times I was up there, I would have had to throw a couple of elbows to keep my position to do that.  I will say social distancing was not really a thing in that line.

A lot has been written about the fantastic dining on the Riviera. In my opinion, an underrated venue is Wave’s Grill. Waygu burgers, ahi sandwiches, etc. They always  get extra rare (ahi) and medium rare (burgers) perfect each time. In addition, the daily specials are quite good (pulled pork sandwich was today’s).

I either need to exercise or purge as tonight is our second visit to Jacque’s.

Always nice to order a little "surf" on the side as well.  I found that Wave's did a better job on grilling the lobster than the Terrace grill (which was sometimes a little overcooked).

    Ominous signs perhaps?

Testing begun at 7 AM. By 9 AM guests are being requested to contact the ship. Now hearing it a second time, couldn’t quite hear if it is a different room.

We had the same thing, both for our mandatory testing for Barbados, and for the optional testing for disembarkation.  Sometimes a name was repeated.

I drew the same conclusion that you appear to be having.

Odd question. Are cabin stewards primarily male or female? We're on for back to back to back (boarding 1/14) and I like to bring little gifts--a little easier when you know gender. We leave a little cash to supplement paid gratuities but it never hurts to show your appreciation to people whose job is to make your life easier and who work far from home for long periods of time. Getting back on the ships must be a godsend to many. We're living in a time of wall-to-wall stress but woe be to him who takes that stress out against the rank and file. Bad karma. Be kind! (I know you will be--just a reminder!)

We had two stewards - the primary was female, and her assistant was male.  I don't think there is any standardization there, I saw a fairly random mixture as I walked corridors.
