My next trip is in September on Breakaway from Rome, 10 days.

When I booked last year the price for a solo cabin was around 2K in Euro.

If I were to book it today, the price is 3,7k .. BEFORE free at sea and service charges, so it would be in total over 4K. Thats getting insane for a solo cabin..

Getaway is my favorite ship.

Syd is great (my fav), I also liked the latino band at Sugarcane, (and while you are at the Sugarcane, try the ginger mojito) and there is also another show with most of the ensemble from million dollar quartet. They have their take on familiar show tunes, anything from ABBA to Hair. Its also complimentary.

If I was REALLY into listening to announcements in 6 different languages for hours I would sail with MSC every cruise.

Sadly i'm really not into that .. at all.

You can drink as much as you like. On my last cruise, there were days that I had more than 15 drinks/day (when bartender wants you to try a new shot for every drink you have, it quickly adds up)

With the plus package you also get water and Starbucks

I was on the Getaway in June when it was in Europe. The service I got from everyone was just exceptional.

short story from that cruise: Me and a group of people was at the Sugercane, and one in our group wanted a irish coffee. he went to the bar and was told no, they dont serve it there.

And that is true, as they dont have coffee there.

So I went to the bar and asked the bartender if he could arrange an irish coffee for my friend. A few minutes later a waiter came to the table with an irish coffee.

So what is the point of that story? Not everyone is treated the same.

The most useful I have brought, is my clothes. I have prevented many ackward situations during my stay on the ship.

I get that it can be convenient to be wrapped in a towel for 7-14 days, but you also miss out on potential fun, like strip poker!

I just got back from The Getaway today.

Ship looks pristine, and I had a fantastic holiday.

If I buy the package for unlimited Wi-Fi Package - 1 Device - can I switch it between 2 devices as long as I only use one of them at a time? I will have to do some work 😞 while on the ship so I was hoping I can use the internet on the PC while im working and switch to my phone when im done.

Yes you have to pay a small fee for each drink as long as the ship is in spanish territory, its a tax to the spanish goverment and has nothing to do with NCL per se. Its not a big deal. Its not for the entire cruise, just for the port of Barcelona and Mallorca.

I assume this is on Epic.

You should be just fine, considering you are traveling in May. The ship also have an adult only area (Spice H2O) where children is not allowed.

Concidering most ships sail at 50-60% capacity, I would not spend money for priority access.
