I’m a gen xer and want to add my disappointment that lincoln centre stage is discontinued. This would make me rethink travelling with holland america as this is part of what differentiated them from other cruise lines. I’m glad i experienced it in 2019 on my alaskan cruise.

Oh Oh. I attached my photos and don't know why they are showing up upside down! I removed them. Any idea how to fix this let me know.

Thanks to everyone who answered all my questions! I asked a lot of questions and it was very helpful. I wrote a whole review but seem to have deleted it so here are a few tips (more for newbies) and pics to share. Tip 1 Go see the juggler. That was the best show! Tip 2 Windjammer is always busy but there is an outdoors part by the bar that seems never to be busy. (Its still covered and warm as partially enclosed.) Tip 3 Skip the theatre on last night and go out on deck to see the inside passage instead. You feel like you have the deck to yourself! Tip 4 If you have my time dining go early (before your scheduled time) as it seems you are more likely to get a window seat. (At least that was my experience). Tip 5 Check your camera settings before an important excursion or glacier. I couldn't figure out why my camera wouldn't work for bering fisherman's tour and missed out on close shots of eagles. Tip 6 Have the lobster. Its a tradition and i think the lobster isn't as small as people complain about. Tip 7 Get up early on departure day as things are slower with elevators or be prepared to take the stairs like i did. Tip 8 Try and focus on the positive. I was very disappointed it was foggy and rainy for hubbard glacier but we did get 1/2 a mile from tracy arm!

Thanks that’s good to know. I put the money in the envelope for the stateroom attendant but i definitely didn’t mean it to be shared. I’ll know for next time.

I feel like royal caribbean could do a better job of explaining you could get envelopes.

Its too late for me now, but i’m glad i know how this works now. I was seated in a different section for mtd my last day and wasn’t sure how to give the money to my previous wait staff. Now i know. What is the average tip? I tipped my room staff 12.00, not sure if that was enough. I was solo.

The weather was pretty bad last week. There must have been some sort of system that moved in. What i wished i had was a hat. Mainly as my hair got so messy in pictures!

Was there a particular meal in the mdr you enjoyed? I know you said you didn't like the food, just wondering.

In windjammer now, i thought the roast beef was quite good. Love the fruit!

My mom thought you didn’t have to go see tracy arm right at 6:30 but you should stay to very end. (She went last year) Do you think that’s ok or should you be there right at 6:30?

I've just been looking at rccl app and they definitely have a lot of trivia. However i agree on first cruise to go to glacier bay.

I don't understand why they are named differently then

On my royal caribbean cruise coming up there is solo get togethers and singles get togethers. Is the singles one supposed to be about meeting someone romantically?

I’m interested in that as i am going solo. You are able to sign up as a solo so i assumed its fine. Maybe i should phone.
