  1. We were just in 2321 on the Breeze (2 doors down from you). No galley noises, but we would hear the music in the evenings when the waiters dance/sing. It doesn't last long. What we did hear a lot of was the noise of the water crashing against the side. DH loved it, said it lulled him to sleep. We would definitely book a Cove again. (This was our first one.)

Was there a life boat above this cabin?

  2. PC is about a 45-50+ minute drive straight east from the Orlando airport. Since you are flying in a day early the easy and cheap solution is an inexpensive one-way car rental (MCO to PC/Cocoa Beach) - all of the major agencies have offices there and offer free shuttles to the port.

We now prefer to stay in the Orlando area instead of near the port -- works better if you are arriving in Orlando late. If you are arriving earlier in the day you might prefer to head to the coast and stay near the port.

Post cruise I would not book a flight earlier than noon. Cocoa Beach Shuttle will get to from PC to MCO in a shared shuttle for about $25+ per person (the cruise transfer bus will be at least twice that amount). If you have a late flight you could do another one-way car rental back to MCO.

    Good luck! :)

Do you have a recommendation for hotel by MCO. I am getting some crazy rates for pkgs. to get us from MCO, stay per & post cruise 1 night each & transfers to port from hotel in cocoa beach...example (--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By the time I got clarification on a couple questions from Sheraton...They want an additional $25 for a 6:40 am shuttle back to airport on the 23rd. $6.00 pp each way to port & $8.00pp for breakfast. I think that helps to make my decision...not staying there! lol ) this is stressing me out;(

  3. I need help finding the best rates for staying one night (Feb.14, 2015) and getting to PC for a cruise the 15th. I don't care if We (son & I) stay near MCO or get to PC area the 14th or 15th AM.

We will also need to get back to MCO by 8 AM on the 23rd. So doesn't matter if we go back after disembarking the 22nd and stay near MCO.

Looking for clean, safe hotel and reliable transportation to & from airport to hotel & cruise terminal. On a budget and not at all familiar with the area. Please, if you have time & info...help:)

I wasn't planning on making all the arrangements, and doing this on a budget...life circumstances have forced changes. I am a little overwhelmed.

    Thanks, Shelly

  4. Comedians are fly-on operating participants and can and do change week to week and even during the same cruise. The brand ambassador can assist you with information about the comedians for a specific cruise when close to the date of embarkation.

Thank you, I am well aware after 27 Carnival Cruises...Comedians often tend to do the same ship. I have seen some on the 3 & 4 days more than I can count. Was hoping to see who was doing the Miracle lately.

  5. You might consider the Royal Princess which has a really good TV system. Not much more live TV than the old systems but literally hundreds of movies, many of them current, and shows available on demand. For free. I'm sure Carnival offers current movies for free on-demand, too, though. And, it has an Intranet system as well that you can use on any WiFi-enabled device, including your phone. Again, for free. The Sapphire is being updated with large screen TVs and I suspect will be one of the first ships to get the new system that the Royal does.

We did receive a letter in our cabin saying they would be entering to add new shelving for the TV's, but nothing was done while we were on the ship. We weren't sure what or why...but, will be something to look forward to next month. The tv system in general was out dated. We couldn't use the remote functions to adjust the picture that didn't fit the screen. Our remote didn't work at all when we arrived, but were able to get new batteries & then were able to turn on/off and volume/channels.

  6. We would love to have you back to the Carnival Family!

I never left...just was checking out the other options:) I have 24 cruises with Carnival and never had any intentions of leaving. We just got such good prices on the Princess cruises, we had to check it out. West Coast sailings are often quite expensive. Princess arrives for a few months and is giving cruises away! Hard to pass up;) We weren't thrilled the 1st time and had a balcony for less than the price of an inside on Carnival...think it's because they were having a hard time filling the ship. This last one, all our cruise fare went to the next 7 day sailing (Feb). But, after that...We'll be back;)

  7. I have cruised 4 different lines and have over 40 cruises in my past. I would like to say that I like to turn on my tv when in my cabin & not have to watch the same loop of the love boat! I don't watch much tv, but would have liked the choice to have seen some while settling in at night. I am talking network tv. Carnival, RCCL & NCL all have more than a few channels. They were able to turn it on for the football games, but as soon as the games were over the stations were turned off. In 2014, I would think we should have the option to watch tv and have some more choices.

  8. By the way, the dirty wine glass was a serious issue. Did you take itup with the room service/stewards supervisor?

I put a note in the glass...it was to the point! He hopefully passed it on to the correct person.

  9. I have cruised CCL, NCL ,RCL , Costa & Celebrity all a few times .They are all pretty similar with small differences . I enjoy Carnival but am bored with their itineraries and find that since they still allow balcony smoking the smokers have all signed on to Carnival ships . When I read posts from people that have only sailed one line and think everything will be better if they just cruise a different line I have to laugh .All the cruise lines are having cut backs or changes .It is not just Carnival.

I must say, that I do enjoy the balcony atmosphere (smoke-free) on Princess. We don't often get a balcony on Carnival because of the smoke. We did however, have an aft wrap last Nov. and loved it...never had any smoke around us. This is a personal preference and not meant to start a smoking debate;)

  10. Are you sure you were on Princess? I'll take Princess any time over Carnival. Price is the only reason for Carnival. If you are worried about a syrupy cake or some bathrobe someone else had on, then I'm confused. The free drinks are only good in certain spots. When we were on the Ruby they had a rockin piano player and the crowd covered all up and down the stairs even. Some folks can't take an upgrade.

I was on Princess;( I am not new to cruising. I have about 40 cruises in my history. Many others than the ones listed. I have sailed Carnival, NCL, RCCL & recently Princess. I wouldn't choose to sail on Princess again, if it wasn't for the deal we got on the last one. I have never seen a piano bar on the two ships I've been on. I don't find it to be an upgrade to sail Princess. Makes me wonder how they can afford to give 100% cruise fare for a second cruise. Only reason why we're going again. We have a good time, we just spend more time in our cabin & on our balcony. It's nice that there are choices, since you prefer another line:)

  11. We enjoy some down time when on vaca at the end of the day. A glass of wine on our balcony, also would be nice, but the robes couldn't be delivered until the 2nd day & were so thin & small...and I am not a large person. The wine glass delivered had a ring of lipstick all around it! Needless to say, we have yet to be impressed with Princess!
