Been researching restaurants in Curacao for lunch and found Kome, which gets real good Tripadvisor reviews. Has anyone eaten there or know if it is close to the cruise port.
Thanks in advance for any info

I would plan a nice local dinner ashore

Not too late but things are winding down by the time you arrive at 2:30. I would not do a beach on that schedule.

We took a 3 hour tour for $25pp and saw the distillery. I don't think it's worth a trip just to see the distillery

You are fine with 11:00am. Don't let the nervous nellies worry you.

Nothing I read recently indicates that the food on Celebrity is any better than most other cruise lines. I use to read on this board that Celebrity was a notch above most others. Have things changed that much with the the food?

Great idea for a post. how does one get notified of a cabin assignment?

Available on line, just Google it

Valley Church beach is very nice. Good restaurant, facilities, jet skis

Your right about some San Juan departures but most other visits are on 10+ day cruises. We will be there next winter on a 2 week Celebrity cruise

We are on the Volendam this summer in Alaska, Hope she's in good shape. Would be interested in your opinion on Canaletto's, if you happen to eat there. Thanks.
Have a great cruise

I think this is an interesting question, let the responses start

Need to look at cruises longer than 1 week

For the price Irie provides a nice tour

We have been on X and they will let you eat in the MDR on formal night with nice slacks and a dress shirt, no real need for a sports coat. Alaska is even less formal. No need to miss a dinner in the MDR because other people will be enjoying themselves dressed in casual clothing. Enjoy Alaska

Taken many private tours, probably 25, and never had a problem. It will be much less crowded and you will have a blast

Thanks

I wouldn't be concerned at all.

I would not buy any expensive jewelry in the Caribbean. Savings not worth the risk.

Another vote for Kakao - better food than Kon Tiki

How close to cruise port?

All mass market cruise lines are cutting back on music, food, staff, etc. Guess the increasing supply of cabins requires lower prices.

What is it about men who refuse to put on a jacket for dinner. Seems like a small concession if it makes your wife a little happier and enhances her cruise experience. Don't tell me they wore suits everyday to work, I also did for 30 years and it's not that difficult. If a more formal dinner makes my wife happy, I sure won't spoil it by refusing something so simple.

We don't need many of the threads that are started. If based on need, the board would be pretty inactive
Perry is leaving
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
Saw Perry last year for the first time. He was great the 1st show, went back for a 2nd night and the show was identical and somewhat entertaining. However, after 2 shows we had enough of Perry's humor and really can't understand his following but everyone is different.
