  1. After the two cruise’s this year and the ones next year, and the one the year after we will not be using P&O again because there are to many people like us onboard.
  2. We found Arvia a really lovely ship especially the Atrium, we spent to much time in there watching the sea pass us by, keel and Cow our favourite restaurant, but saying that we are not that sophisticated.
  3. Totally agree with you until there is a definitive reply from P&O then no one can say with any authority what is correct, but on here speculations usually degenerates into lowering standards on P&O.
  4. Sorry I disagree there is a history on here of stories being seized on then turning out to be inaccurate, as for the staff not being told and allowed to give out false information, only time will tell which of us was correct.
  5. I would agree but this is not the first time it as happened
  6. 65 and you seam to think that no comment deserves a reply
  7. I really doubt a change like that would be kept secret from there own staff, so they could look like idiots giving out false information and it being seized on like sites like this.
  8. Thanks for the reply, looks to me it another clown story which was seized on here to bring up falling standards on P&O, whoever started the rumour achieved there aim.
  9. Not offended at all like yourself I was just giving my views on your original statement, we also have multiple cruises booked with P&O, and there quest to gain a younger market is not really a problem for us, standards is really subjective dependent on your views, which at the end of your statement agrees with my original comment.
  10. Luckily you have a choice to go on a more upmarket line then cheap and cheerful P&O
  11. On another site P&O have sent an email out to a cruiser that there is no change in there policy on taking drinks onboard.
  12. I don't buy the drink package neither do I take any alcohol on board when we first board, so the changes have absolutely no effect on me, so I will leave the conversation to those who want to take booze onboard and those who will complain about the drink package increase.
  13. I wish our works canteen was like the buffet onboard
  14. We enjoyed our TA on Arvia nothing really to complain about apart from bloggers, if you want to go to 710 club you have to be quick because it was virtually impossible to get in there.
  15. I for some unknown reason kept walking past Ben and David on our last TA,to say there appearance off camera is to say the least miserable, and after watching the video about the cruise and there last comment, they was happy to leave the ship and get a salad completely lost me.
  16. Emma says like it is, she got an awful lot of abuse when she criticised virgin cruises
  17. After our last cruise on Arvia the amount of people wandering around filming was simply ridiculous, there wasn’t one part of the ship we’re you did not encounter them, I know some might want to film there experience onboard but the majority are the ones trying to earn a living from it, it seams to have gotten worse.
  18. Depends if they have got a special offer on, because normally cheaper onshore duty free shops, also depends what part of the world your in.
  19. Just sat through a video headlined school dinner's, they went to the mdr and had a meal of pie and mash, the crime of p&o was to put a scope of mash on the plate so they called it a school dinner, yes the mash should have been tastily arranged not to offend anyone.
  20. Booking a cruise wether it's early late middle is entirely down to your own personal circumstances, we book early so we know everything is sorted, others prefer to book late to get that bargain if there is one. There's no-one on here can say with any authority which is the best choice.
  21. The thought of retiring and booking holidays as and when we wished, have been tempered by the fact the government changed the retirement ages of women, being 5 years older then my beloved I will be 72 before she can retire so by 2030 the worlds our oyster.
  22. That obviously works if you have flexibility in what time you can take your holidays, alas I have not got that flexibility
  23. Totally agree with your comments, we book in advance because we want to be on a specific deck cabin and location, if you wait till after balance due it is a lottery what you get but each there own.
  24. We mostly book onboard, last year we got £680 which I don't care what anyone say's we thought was good, this year we get £500 but the holiday is slightly cheaper because they was running a special offer, the flights are now more expensive for premium.
