  1. rbtan - Obviously, this is a topic that really irks you! Just a bit too harsh and judgmental about this conversation, if you ask me. Geez!! 🙄 That said, I like to dress for dinner and want my husband's attire to be at the same level. I don't buy evening gowns anymore, because I never have anywhere to wear them. My husband does not own a suit, because his career never demanded that type of dress code. Tuxes are for weddings and The Oscars...not to eat dinner with hundreds of people you don't or barely know. Just my opinion, of course. Moving on....
  2. jwattle - Did you and your bride get married or honeymoon on a Princess cruise? Your photos are awesome...so sweet 😍
  3. I've never understood why dressing a specific way somehow adds to or ruins a cruise experience?!? It's ludicrous. Just eat, drink and be merry!
  4. We loved the martini ice bar on the Equinox. It was both a fun show watching the talented bartenders, and delicious drinks. Since X raised their alcohol package prices to such an extreme, we decided to pay as we go this time. Will that be a mistake? I keep reading that it's very hard to get a bartender's attention nowadays. True? My sister & her DH are on the Millie now. My DH and I will sail on her next Saturday. Been on the Summit twice and had wonderful cruises both times.
  5. Thanks for all the ideas everybody. We decided that for $56 total, a transfer to Old San Juan from the cruise port, stow our luggage while we stroll around for 4 hours, and then a ride to the airport was very reasonable. So we booked it thru Celebrity. We also booked our parking at Tampa International today. All set except for the packing...super excited!! 🤩 Thanks again Cruisers! Oink 🐷
  6. Hi Cruisers - We are booked on the Millennium for a 7 day cruise 3/18 thru 3/25. Our flight doesn't leave San Juan until 6:30pm on 3/25/23. Any suggestions on what or where to store our luggage between disembarking and pre-flight check-in on Southwest? We'll have 7-8 hours between the cruise port and the airport. Thanks... Oink 🐷
  7. I'm looking at all-inclusive resorts now. The cruise lines are ridiculously over-priced, and the drink packages are just outrageous. WTH? Once on the ship, the crew are like islanders constantly bothering you to sell their wares. What a shame. It used to feel like a special event. Gone!
  8. Thanks for the per drink pricing Markeb. That helps! Last time we cruised (pre-pandemic), we booked with no drink package. But X kept sending us tempting deals so we bought the Classic. By the time we boarded, we upgraded to the Premium package. It was a GREAT cruise! 🍻🍹😄 The price was much more affordable then. *sigh* Regarding the font??? I often choose comic sans, which is one of the choices on this website. Not sure why it's so unreadable...nobody's ever mentioned that before. Also, how does a cruise website "fine" a user????? Later... Oink 🐷
  9. I just did the math for the classic drink package on a 10 night Connie cruise this March. With the 20% gratuity added, it's $106.80pp/day. That's $2136 for our cruise...just drinks!! 😲 Never mind tips for cabin and dining crew, or Wi-Fi, etc. WTH?? Does anybody have a list of drink prices, if buying just one at a time? Like a can of pop, a domestic beer, a Tito's martini, for example? And does it differ from ship to ship? Thanks! Oink 🐷
