They are busier than ever: staffing has been reduced so they may only clean your room once per day, but they're now responsible for more than twice as many rooms......

I certainly feel for your friend but unfortunately NCL isn't responsible to a) hold the ship for your friend or b) get him to the next port. That is his responsibility, and the reason insurance is so important. Cruise crtitic is littered with these complaints, against all cruise lines not just NCL, by those who don't understand the system. I'd recommend a good Travel Advisor for your friend.

I've done it several times. Just talk to them at the excursion desk and they'll let you know where to meet 2nd tour on the pier usually.

If you have nothing else, just show passport and they’ll look you up!

It’s my understanding the $50 OBC is per cabin, not per guest.

Shouldn't be disappointed in RC. They contract with vendors for excursions, unfortunately sometimes the vendors just fall through and RC is unable to provide alternatives at this late of a date. This is not an example of thier incompetence or lack of caring, things just happen.

I am very surprised……that it took so long for them to do this. It makes good business sense.

I've participated in quite a few over the years and never had one that was coordinated with ship personnel.

What you're quoting applies to "third parties" tours which are arranged outside of NCL. They have no obligation to pay you for those if they change/miss a port. Not apples and apples.......

Unfortunately they can't create an additional vacant oceanview to accomodate your upgrade. Under the terms and conditions of the Diamond cabin upgrade it clearly states "All upgrades are subject to availability". I'm not sure I understand the comment about "weeks of lying" or even the basis of your complaint?
