  1. Probably, this pack showed up at the Princess Pop Star and were screaming and clapping obnoxiously. They were usually up quite late too, like after 2:00am.

Oh yeah, that group and the woman who brought the crying toddler to Princess Pop Star at 10:15pm!

The cruise before this last one I knew it was getting bad when the captain came on for a second announcement about taking care of your kids and how serious it is when you report your child missing on board and that all kinds of protocols kick in when you cannot locate your children and proceed to report them missing.

  2. Make sure you avoid President's Day week in Feb, that is a big school break week. April is no guarantee either - our Spring Break isn't until the 3rd week of April this year.

I need to put all these breaks in a spreadsheet! I think some breaks are fine but I have now learned that I am overwhelmed with big breaks. Too bad since I like to vacation during Thanksgiving.

  3. LO-LO.. I experienced the same thing...worst is when I saw parents let their son yell at the dining room hostess over and over that he wanted to be seated right away. The hostess had to tell him to calm down. I was so embarrassed.

  4. Yup, we were on this cruise as well and witnessed some pretty bad behavior. Young ones (like 3 to 5 years) up until 11:00 in crooners and other entertainment spots with parents seemingly unconcerned about screaming/shrieking. The worst were the unruly groups of pre-teens and teens just turned loose to run rampant. There was a whole lot of bad parenting going on.

I was surprised by the roaming groups late at night too.

  5. I like kids.. I really do. But lots of really bad ones get on your nerves after seven days.

I thought I did my research after being on a Thanksgiving cruise. I searched for Spring breaks for Texas and surrounding states and saw I was in the clear but it was certainly spring break somewhere. Our 3/29 sailing had a reported number of 600 children.

I did meet some great families and kids but there were other kiddos that were not so great (like running and screaming types). The worst was a melt down in Club Fusion at 10:30p. I would have a melt down too if I was in there that late and eight years old. Another was a toddler running back and forth in front of our seats during a late MUTS showing.

I did see that the staff was somewhat responsive. There were a couple of loud kids in the Terrace Pool (adults only) and I overheard a woman find a deck attendant and he asked the children to leave.

  6. We just got off the same cruise and couldn't disagree more.

We remarked a number of times how great the ship looked, very fresh and clean. One day I watched the crew cleaning the brass footings on the Promenade doors that go out into the vestibule that goes out onto the open deck. I saw varnishing of the railings going on several days. The public bathrooms were all clean. Our suite was very clean and we were well taken care of by our steward.

We had a number of very good meals in the MDR, Sabatini's and the Crown Grill. We found the service to be excellent throughout the ship.

We saw no evidence of noro on board. Sorry that the OP became ill, but it sounds like it was dealt with in a thorough and caring manner.

Got off the same cruise as well. Sorry to hear your trip was disappointing and that you got ill.

I thought the ship looked great and had lots of nice touches. Our cabin (balcony on Riveria) was very nice too and did not show any wear and tear.

My only complaint was that there were lots of children that were not on their best behavior.

  7. I am sailing on Sunday too, and I was able to get into my personalizer. It would let me print off tags and boarding pass. (I already have done this a few weeks ago, but it would let me do it again today).

If you still can't get in try calling Princess - maybe there is some issue with your account. Good luck and have a nice cruise.

Crisis solved. I was able to find some time and called Princess. Somehow my name and passport name were not jiving and making everything crazy. I am so surprised because I am always very conscious of this. Jeff vs. Jeffrey. I was able to get into my account today as well. Woo hoo. Now the tags and boarding passes are ready to print... just have to go to my neighborhood Fedex office to use their computers to print. I know, I should buy a printer but I only print something every 6 months.

  8. Hi all. I completed everything a long time ago. I just don't have a printer at home and I work from home as well. So I was waiting when I could get somewhere with a printer. Anyways, I need to call Aunt P because I can't even get into my account now and it can't even find me. LOL

  9. There was a place in Mahogany Bay with free wifi and lots of crew. We only knew that something was happening when the bartender kicked crew out of some seats so we could eat at the table. She gave us the passcode and viola we ha wifi....which is also called wee fee. :)

Roatan is another carnival corp owned developed port, like grand

turk, but more isolated. (e.g. no jack shack)

WiFi is $5 for 1 hour, $10 for all day.

I don't know where you would follow the crew to, as they

almost never go outside the carnival property.

In Belize, I got bar wi-fi along the waterfront with a drink purchase.

Most crew don't go ashore in belize because it is a 20-40 minute

tender ride, and they can't go until all passengers have been

accomodated. Again, very hard to follow a crew member.
