  1. I bring collagen peptides on every cruise without any issue. I can’t imagine anyone saying anything about a supplement for health reasons.

I also bring on my own salad dressing and almond/oat milk. It all goes in checked bags. 25+ cruises since the restart, no questions asked

Good guess - it is one of her sisters.

Grandeur is the only Vision class ship I’ve sailed on, did the Barbados to Galveston repo this spring.

Booked Enchantment but it got swapped for Brilliance. We are sailing on Vision in December.

I remember going to the Windjammer and seeing the front of the ship and how exposed the bridge wings are.

  3. I had the exact same issue with a cruise on Explorer. I booked in February using FCC from cancelled Jewel on 1-9.
Funny (yet not so funny at the time) was that Royal answered the phone much sooner than I anticipated. I dialed before I gathered all my info and a customer service rep answered immediately, 10:45 am on a Saturday.

Once I found all my info they were able to apply the points correctly.

I had to call one other time with point issues from a Jewel cancellation. Fingers crossed I won’t need to make any additional calls. Although I fully expect to call in January for our Vision Dec 26 that was cancelled twice.

Hopefully cruise cancellations are a thing of the past.

  4. I have a Yeti tumbler with my CC name. I leave that on the table along with silverware. This has always worked for me (so far)

Always get a table first, walking around with a plate of food looking for a spot to land reminds me of not so great school experiences

Holy canoli!!!...SummerBeee, we've flown to just about 90% of all our cruises...don't even want to think how much we've spent on airfare...but not complaining. Life is short...we love to travel...just happy to be cruising again.

Responded recently (Ask a cruise question - New Cruisers) to a question on farthest embarkation we had to fly to...here's a few we've done:

    - San Francisco to Istanbul.

    - SF to Sydney.

    - SF - Beijing (Tianjin)

    - SF to Dubai.

    - SF to Bangkok (Laem Chabang)

    -SF to Argentina

    - SF to Santiago, Chile...relatively short flight but got stuck in traffic for 7 hours on the way to the port.

    - SF to Venice, Rome, Barcelona, Amsterdam, London, and next week to Copenhagen.

    * I've never worn my Pinnacle pin.

Our flight was Miami to Barbados, then Galveston back to Miami (repo cruise)

Looking at all your individual flights, wow so many and so long. I’ll get to visit all those places without flying 😁

A 4 hour drive to Miami then spending 9 months on Serenade

I think if you get to pinnacle but it's not all about the cruising then there must be something seriously wrong with you - I dread to think what I've spent on all these cruises but I suspect I could have a second house by now!

We got a second home in Florida, which opened up so much more cruising opportunities for me. If all goes as planned I’ll reach Pinnacle in October, only hit D+ February 2020. All the FL ports are between 1.5 to 4.5 hours away

I'm not near pinnacle, but I personally would like the free wifi. I dont like to pay for it, free is nice.

Nothing else I care about, just the wifi all cruise long. Not worth pushing for .. when I get there, if ever, I do.

Free WiFi is going to be my favorite perk! I am not one of those people who can “put the phone in the safe”

Those are nice CA port stops.  Monterey is our go to spot from home for a long weekend.  We have been visiting Monterey for 50 years.  I learned to SCUBA dive in the bay when Cannery Row still had rusted out cannery buildings.  We visit 1-2 times a year. We have been in town once when a ship was there.  It's a very small town and you tender in to the end of Old Fisherman's Wharf.  Nice walk up the pier and over to the Monterey Plaza Hotel area.  The Monterey Bay Aquarium is world class.  Downtown Carmel has lots of shops, art galleries, and food places.  We just stopped at Catalina couple of weeks ago.  We have been there a couple of times for land vacations.  The excursion away from Avalon is fun and historic.  You can walk the town of Avalon in about 30 minutes.  We rented a golf cart and drove around on their restricted route for an hour.  San Francisco we also had done frequently for long weekends in the past.  The City has become a dirty pit and we haven't gone in three years and don't plan to.  The tour to Alcatraz is very much worth it.  They do a few at night that might be a little creepy.  Monterey is about the same drive for us and much nicer.

I dive but can’t handle cold water, total wimp. I’ve seen some fabulous photos of Californian kelp forests.

My mom loved Carmel so much it’s my middle name. I’d love to visit one day

I have been to Alcatraz, such a cool experience

What do people do with them? Mine have been in the boxes they came in that day I got them and haven't been looked at or taken out of the boxes since then?

Plenty of them on ebay, Go for it.

I have mine on display in our FL condo. They can be backlit and look nice. We don’t have much in the way of nick-nacks or decorative pieces there. Since it’s a smaller space everything needs to have a purpose besides collecting dust. The exception is these and I love them
Also missing Odyssey from February. I did receive Jewel from March in May
