  1. If that were the case you think someone would have notified you immediately.
  2. I always do fix dining and ask for a table for 2. So far no problem
  3. Try going under your account on the website. Open that up
  4. In my opinion you are not the only 1. My last cruise was 25 day cruise With a lot of tender ports. I missed every one of those tender ports because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to do it with a rollator. As I mentioned, it was the first time I took it. Thinking back maybe I should have asked guest services how difficult it would be to get on the tender with a rollator. I was told by guest services you can't even get on a tram at port with a rollator
  5. It bothers me when on some excursions even though they listed as easy they don't accept any mobility devices. A lot of times we're on school buses..... Also, as I mentioned in another thread , I find it difficult to maneuver it in the dining areas especially The buffet. I find it easier to use on shore. As long as the street is smooth I think it's fine. I only use the rollator once so Perhaps as time goes on I'll get used to it
  6. How did you download the MDR for your particular ship? I'd like to do that as well. Thank you
  7. You're absolutely right. There were times I didn't know how the company I worked for stayed in business! And they were a fortune 500 company. It almost seems like no 1 at the top cares just as long as the money rolls in. Representatives made promises they knew they couldn't keep because they knew they were not gonna get that call when that person called back. Someone else would have to clean up their mess. Well I'm ranting. Most of our tech support went to a different country as well. The representatives at holland America really are very nice. They're very considerate and kind. However, I will say this again, they are not trained. I was very fortunate. I had Seniority and I was in a union. A lot of our work was outsourced but I was able to keep my job until retirement.
  8. I am a retired customer service agent as well. And the above is so true.
  9. I agree with you 100%. They are very nice the representatives at Holland America and they do try. They just don't have the training. I've had a lot of problems and a lot of difficulty resolving .But it's some point they do get resolved.
  10. That might just be the case. I was in a Veranda I wanted to upgrade to a sweet. I was told I would not get the double points. Maybe that's it
  11. Does Holland America still give double points for a suite? A representative told me no but I don't think that's correct.
  12. I would think any information that would help someone is appropriate.
  13. This year, for the 1st time on a cruise ,I took a rollator. I found it very difficult maneuvering in and out of my state room. Also in the buffet It was really awkward .......... Here's my question. Does anyone know of easier ways to get around with a rollator? Getting in and out of my state room , how to maneuver the buffet .What about getting on and off tenders ?Is that a problem? I was afraid to do tenders on my last trip and I feel because of that I missed out on a lot. I travel solo so I really had no 1 to help. Thank you in advance.
  14. I feel exactly the same way. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do.
  15. I believe basically what it means is when the rooms are linked it becomes 1 trip. Not 2 separate cruises. So you keep the room that you're in. As I mentioned, if you happen to have any onboard credit left over from the 1st trip it will carry over to the second. That's been my experience. I found that out from a Holland America representative when I 1st booked my back to back to Canada and back again. It's a trip I've made several times because it's convenient for me as I am right here in Boston. In reality it is 2 separate cruises. 7 days going and then 7 days coming back.
  16. That's where my back to backs go. From Massachusetts to Canada and then from Canada to Massachusetts. And never once have I had to get off the ship. In the beginning I thought that would be the case but Holland America advised me to link the rooms and I would not have to get off the ship ,and it worked. That's really all I can say about that. That's my experience.
